1.) Song Xu, a practitioner who had been on a hunger strike for 50 days, was force-fed by a collaborator [former Falun Gong practitioners who have gone astray due to brainwashing and torture] named Ge Ling. We appeal to the international community to rescue him. Since he was kidnapped on November 10, 2002, he has been held at the No.1 Detention Center of Zhengzhou City. The police said they had received an order instructing them that all those on hunger strikes, who die from force-feeding are to be categorized as suicides. The force-feeding by Ge Ling has left Song's mouth torn. His teeth became loosened as a result of the chopsticks used to force his mouth open. Ge Ling was driven around daily in a police car to persecute practitioners.

2.) Zhang Ming, a practitioner from Zhengzhou City, was sentenced to one year in Baimiao Forced Labor Camp for continuing to practice Falun Dafa. His term was extended for resisting maltreatment and not giving up his belief in Falun Gong. When he was due to be released in November 2002, his term was again extended for another 6 months because he would not submit.
