Xie Ge from Shanghai went to Beijing to work. Because he was a Dafa practitioner, he was beaten by the police without provocation. The police covered his face and took him to a room where they carried out interrogation interspersed with beatings. Later, they covered his face again and sent him to the Beijing Law Enforcement Training Center. In order to protest the illegal persecution, he has been on a hunger strike for over 180 days. He has become very emaciated and weak. They have cuffed his hands and tied his feet to the bed for extended periods of time. He is still enduring a lot of torture. It is our hope that all kind and righteous people in China and around the world will help rescue him.

After illegally detained by Nanchong Police Department for seven months, female Dafa practitioners Han Guangrong and Li Jianghou were illegally tried by the Shunqing District Court on December 23. Han was sentenced to four years and Li three years.

On the day of the trial, Han and Li started shouting "Falun Dafa is good" just as they were dragged out of the police car and taken to the courthouse door. At the same time, 40 to 50 practitioners waiting outside the courtroom started shouting, "Falun Dafa is good!" "Truth-Compassion-Tolerance is good!" "Return our Teacher's reputation!" The shouting moved the sky and the earth. The police closed the court gate and started arresting practitioners. Some practitioners escaped with righteous thoughts. Among the over 20 arrested practitioners, some walked out with righteous thoughts after being detained for three to seven days. Currently five practitioners are still in detention including He Xuehua, Deng Liangxu (female), Zhang Qifen (female), Zhang Zeying (female).

Recently a Falun Dafa practitioner wrote a letter to the officials in the forced labor camp in which he/she had been detained. The letter was forwarded to the provincial authorities who then tracked down and arrested the practitioner.

When training new employees, the Zhuhai branch makes them shout three Falun Gong-defamatory sentences before the class begins every day. It is extremely evil.

Minghui.net reported on January 2, 2003 that two Falun Gong practitioners were tortured to death. Because China blocks information from leaving the country, it is hard for us to know the details. The following information is what we have been able to find out.

Yang Guiqin, female, 47, was a practitioner from the Town of Baiquan in Dongliao County, Liaoyuan City. She had gone to Beijing to validate Dafa several times since July 20, 1999. On December 28, 2000, she opened a "Falun Dafa is good" banner at Tiananmen Square and was arrested. She was later sent to a police station in a Beijing suburb. With righteous belief in Dafa and Master, she was released.

After returning to Liaoyuan, she put her heart into the Fa-rectification and helped many practitioners step forward to validate Dafa. Since she had close contact with the local practitioners, the police wanted to arrest her. In March 2002, the police arrested a practitioner from Baiquan for distributing Dafa information. This practitioner could not bear the torture and betrayed Yang Guiqin. The police arrested Yang and brutally tortured her. She could not bear the torture and told the police about the site where materials to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa were stored and produced. The police then destroyed this site and arrested fifteen practitioners.

Before October 2002, Liaoyuan Court secretly tried the practitioners. Yang was sentenced to 14 years in the Jilin Female Prison. She was detained at the second sub-squad of the fourth squad.

In December 2002, the Liaoyuan police spread a rumor that Yang Guiqin committed suicide by jumping off the second floor of a building. It is well known that the Jilin Female Prison in Heizuizi has been brutally torturing Dafa practitioners. They often use cruel tortures to try to convert practitioners. We know that in China, in order to cover their crimes, some police would say that a practitioner died because of committing suicide or a heart attack. The police have been known to push practitioners off the top of buildings.

Yang Guiqin had been tortured in Liaoyuan and was extremely weak.
