San Francisco: Falun Gong Practitioners Hold Three-day Appeal in Front of Chinese Consulate (Photo)

From January 12 to 14, Falun Gong practitioners from San Francisco's Bay Area peacefully appealed in front of the Chinese Consulate in San Francisco to expose the Jiang regime's brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners and to appeal for an end of the killing. Practitioners silently stood along the sidewalks outside the Chinese consulate, holding signs. The signs read, "Stop Persecuting Falun Gong," "43 Falun Gong Practitioners Persecuted to Death In Two Months."

Practitioners' peaceful protest attracted public attention and drew support from many passersby. Among them were Chinese, Japanese and local San Franciscans. Some of them said, "Falun Gong is Good." Others expressed, "Take care" and "Thanks for what you are doing." An old couple said to a practitioner, "We know the Chinese government does not allow people to practice Falun Gong, Please take care of youself." An old gentleman from Shanghai said, "Jiang is indeed bad."

When the evening fell, candles were lit along the sidewalk. The peaceful appeal concluded at 9pm. A practitioner stated that even though the three-day urgent global appeal had concluded, activities calling for the Jiang regime to stop persecuting Falun Gong will continue, using all peaceful means.
