(Clearwisdom.net) In order to expose Jiang's regime's brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, the Korean Falun Dafa Association held a press conference in Seoul on January 14, 2003.

In addition to exposing the reports of 43 Falun Gong practitioners being tortured to death in China since November, and that over 550 Falun Gong practitioners have been confirmed dead as a result of the persecution in China since July 1999, practitioners informed the Korean media that Jiang was charged with genocide in the United States in the Federal Court of Illinois. The reporters were very surprised at hearing the news and asked for detailed information.

Korean "United Communication" covered the story, as did national newspapers "Korean Daily" and "JoonAng Daily." The "JoonAng Daily" titled the report as "Falun Gong Puts Jiang Zemin in United States Federal Court."
