Beijing Court Illegally and Secretly Sentences Dafa Practitioners to Long Prison Terms

The Beijing No. 1 Intermediate Court illegally and secretly sentenced four Falun Dafa practitioners on September 5, 2002. The result of this illegal sentence is as follows:

Jiang Changfeng, female, 60 years old, was sentenced to ten years of detention and deprived of political rights for three years,
Jing Xiuyun, female, 36 years old, was sentenced to eight years of detention and deprived of political rights for two years,
Yuan Lin, female, 30 years old, was sentenced to eight years of detention and deprived of political rights for two years,
Pei Fengyuan, female, around 30 years old, was sentenced to seven years of detention and deprived of political rights for two years.

The court did not notify family members that these four practitioners had been sentenced until the 19^th day after the secret trial. The court threatened that "they only have the right to complain, but they do not have the right to appeal." Family members were not allowed to meet with the practitioners. What worried the family members most was that there was no information about the practitioners' whereabouts until after they had been in custody for over one year. Under these circumstances, we, the family members, appeal to the kind-hearted people who have inside information, to pass it along, so that we might see our family members whom we have not seen for such a long period of time.
