"They Practice Falun Gong to be Better People But He Persecuted Them. Now He Has Received Retribution"

These people started off as public servants, but under the intense pressure applied by the Jiang regime, they were pushed into persecuting Dafa disciples. In one area, a Dafa practitioner hung up a banner(s) with the words, "Falun Dafa is Good" and this was known by his work unit. The Party Leader A of his work unit wanted to dismiss the practitioner's party membership and to terminate his job. During the consultation process, a party member raised an objection. However Leader A insisted on expelling the practitioner.

Later when Leader A walked into the entrance of the party committee building, a piece of glass from a broken window fell on him and severely cut his hand. His hand bled a lot. When he went to the hospital, many shards of glass debris could be seen in the wound. Furthermore the tendon in his thumb was severed. His life was in danger from the extensive loss of blood. Although Leader A spent 30,000 Yuan [500 Yuan is the average monthly income for an urban worker in China] for two big operations within a year, his hand still remained disabled. This story had a very big impact among people. Many commented one after another, "They practice Falun Gong to be better people, but he persecuted them. Now he has received retribution."

The Huangtianba Police Division of a city, together with the director of the company it belonged to, ordered Dafa practitioners who were retired workers of that company to write the so-called "Understandings" and "Guarantee Statements" [A statement to declare that he or she is remorseful for practicing Falun Gong and guarantees not to practice Falun Gong again, not to go to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, and never again associate with any Falun Dafa practitioners]. Otherwise they would deduct all their pension and living allowances, and would only give the practitioners 220 Yuan per month. The criminal policeman He Li regarded practitioners as a target of persecution. Even this 220 Yuan per month would have to be taken through his office and the practitioners had to suffer from his curse when they went to his office to pick up the pension. In November 2002, this criminal policeman fell off his motorcycle and broke his knee cap.
