In Memory of Dafa Practitioner Yang Xueqin

The first time I met Yang Xueqin was in her home, while Dafa practitioners gathered there to study the Fa. At that time I was deeply impressed by her devotion to the Fa and by her candid character.

After July 20, 1999, Ms. Yang's workplace incessantly pressured her, and forced her to choose between Party membership and cultivation in Dafa. Facing this enormous pressure, she sincerely told the people there about how her health had improved and her moral standard had elevated after practicing Dafa, and that all of these changes would have been impossible had she not practiced Dafa.

Afterward, I left that city and lost touch with her. I heard that her situation was tough, and that she was once fooled by fake articles and, as a result, made some mistakes in cultivation. After Teacher's genuine articles were published, she awoke to her mistakes and stepped onto the road of Fa-rectification again.

The evil people of the Jiang regime didn't neglect this elderly lady, even though she was over 60. They forced her into a brainwashing class because she refused to give up cultivation. It is terrible to imagine how severely she was persecuted before she was finally tortured to death there.

After Ms. Yang was murdered, her killers blocked the news from spreading outside, falsely stating that she died of a cerebral hemorrhage. However, everyone who knew Ms. Yang knew that her health was fine after she began practicing Dafa. The sudden "cerebral hemorrhage" just indicated how severely she was persecuted in the violent brainwashing class. Later, the "610 Office" [An agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] in Guangdong Province also lied, saying that Ms. Yang died of a hunger strike while attending a law class. Why should she hold a hunger strike if she was just attending a normal class? A hunger strike is an extreme form of protest, used only when someone has no other way to appeal, and is deprived of personal freedom. As a matter of fact, she was forced to receive this so-called "law education." All of these ridiculous lies made people believe that Ms. Yang was inhumanely persecuted in the brainwashing class; no lie is able to hide the truth.

For her belief, Ms. Yang was killed unfairly. One more healthy life has perished in the persecution against Falun Gong.

She once told people how so many Falun Gong practitioners were persecuted and wronged. However, her voice was silenced, as are the voices of many Falun Gong practitioners. This is why these persecuted people must go out into streets to reveal the truth and expose the lies. We must make sure that everything is brought out in the open, so that society will not be deceived by the vicious lies. Speaking one's views is a basic right for all human beings, and speaking the truth is a righteous deed.
