Four Short Stories of People Awakening in China

A police officer from an unknown city resisted the persecution of Dafa practitioners by Jiang's regime and was let go from his duty "for further education." This police officer had protected Dafa practitioners ever since April 25, 1999. Not a single Dafa practitioner was persecuted in the region under his jurisdiction. When the city's "610 Office" (an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems) was about to arrest Dafa practitioners who were known to have visited Falun Dafa sites on the Internet, he would immediately notify them, asking them to move right away. Since he did not follow the directives from his "superiors," he was let go from his post for "re-education" in the year 2000. After that he said, "Even though I earn less money now, I feel relieved. I don't want to be any part of sending good people to jail."

Dafa practitioners from a village in northeastern China continuously clarified the truth to the village secretary and public security staff so that they could awaken to the truth of Jiang's murderous repression. A Dafa practitioner in that village was forced to leave his home to avoid further persecution because of his diligence in cultivation. The police chief asked them to find him but they did not do so. Later on, this practitioner returned to gus home and lived there for a month. No one from the village office reported him.

I often ran into a young child begging for money when I took a walk by the ocean. One day after giving him money, I realized that I should clarify the truth to him. I asked him to sit down and then clarified the truth about Dafa to him and explained to him how to be a good person. I also told him, "When you go back, tell your father that he is not allowed to beat you again. Just let him know that a Falun Gong practitioner said that." After that I seldom saw him. One day I met him again. He was dressed cleanly and neatly and was embarrassed. He did not ask me for money again.

Hongmei held her mother by the arm walking to the public transportation station. A lady envied her mother and said, "You must be mother and child. Your daughter is so good." The mother said, "Yes, my daughter treats me well and treats her mother-in-law well also." Hongmei said to the lady, "After practicing Falun Gong, Master Li teaches us to be good people and think of others in every situation." Hongmei took this chance to explain that Falun Gong requires people to be good and explained the false self-immolation incident. Everyone in the bus listened with interest. After Hongmei finished talking, she took out some truth-clarifying flyers and gave them out to everyone. Some started to read them right there, some put them away for later. A lady took a flyer and said, "I can't read, but I will take it home and ask my family to read it to me."
