Jails in Heilongjiang Province Escalate Torture to Force Falun Dafa Practitioners to Give Up Beliefs

With New Year's Day approaching, the jails in Heilongjiang Province, especially the local jails in Harbin, have escalated their torture of Falun Dafa practitioners in an effort to force the practitioners to give up their beliefs. The persecution of male practitioners is extremely cruel and inhumane. Practitioners who refuse to renounce their beliefs are deprived of the right to be visited. They are forced to stand still until two o'clock in the morning. The brainwashing process is even more violent and ruthless, including shackling of practitioners to the floor, severe beatings, experiments on human bodies and sexual abuse. It is said that officials will torture somebody to death for nothing. All that is needed is a death certificate. It is terrifying.

In the Fuyu Forced Labor Camp, criminals are asked to beat Falun Dafa practitioners. Wang Baoxian was beaten to death in this camp.

In the Tailai Jail, one Falun Dafa practitioner has been confined to a solitary compartment for almost a year. He has been deprived of the right to a family visit (The jails were ordered to convert a certain number of Falun Dafa practitioners by the eve of the 16th National Conference.)

We are calling for international support to help stop the inhumane persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners by the Jiang regime. We call for the release of all illegally detained practitioners, an end to the illegal brainwashing classes, and the closure of the notorious "610 Office" (an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.)
