Wanqing Village in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province Sets up a "Special Prison" and the Persecuted Includes a Two Year Old Child
(Clearwisdomnet) Near the western suburbs of Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, on the eastern side of the West
Beltway, lies Wanqing Village. In the village is a highly supervised compound surrounded by a wall
and locked gates. A sign reads "Law Education School," but in reality it is a special
prison notorious for its brutal torture methods applied on the dozens of Falun Dafa practitioners
who have been detained there. In a regular prison one is released upon completing the sentence, but this prison has indefinite
sentences and incarcerates people for as long as the authorities please. Regular prisons allow
inmates to go outside twice a day, but this one doesn't follow standard humane rules. Falun Dafa
practitioners are locked up without legal procedure in the first place and watched continuously. The
guards prohibit them from getting going outside. Quan Peijun, a former employee of the Shangjie
Aluminum Factory was detained for seven months. His complexion has gradually become deathly pale due
to insufficient exposure to sunlight. Normally, people are incarcerated because they have committed a crime or broken the law, but
Falun Dafa practitioners are illegally detained for upholding Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance,
practicing their exercises, and being good people. Before the 16th Party Congress, many
practitioners were unexpectedly abducted while at work, and taken to this "special prison"
for long periods of custody with no trial or legal counsel. The imprisoned practitioners asked why
they had been illegally arrested in this manner, and the police officers told them they were afraid
of [Dafa practitioners] going to Beijing and disrupting the 16th Party Congress. In
reality, the true reason is that the Zhengzhou City officials were scared that dictator Jiang might
dismiss them from their jobs if any practitioners from their jurisdiction were discovered in
Beijing. This "special prison" also is holding a two-year-old child in detention in which is
completely against the law. The practitioners there lovingly call him "little carrot." He
was kidnapped while shopping with his mother and had committed no crime. Female practitioner Zhou Jianfeng was detained and then thrown into a cell at night with two
young men who were criminal inmates. At midnight she escaped from the room. When the police guards
found out they gave her a beating and threw her onto the floor. Dafa practitioner Dong Changlan is almost 70 years old. She was incarcerated in a single cell for
several months straight. She conducted a hunger strike to protest and gain her rights back, and Li
Shouben was mercilessly humiliated, force-fed, and verbally abused many times. Because of the
constant torment, her life was in peril and she had to be sent to the hospital. Wang Zhi, a thug from the Zhongyuan District "610 Office" (an agency specifically
created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems) frequently beats and tortures
Dafa practitioners. Many practitioners were beaten, and some were locked into bathroom stalls unable
to sleep, for refusing to give up their belief. Family members may visit a regular prison periodically, but at this "special prison"
they are not allowed. For example, two daughters of a Dafa practitioner were refused entry when they
came to visit their mother during the day, and at night they were still forbidden to see her. The
two girls waited at the mother's cell window, crying, until midnight. Many practitioners and guards
were angry about such a stringent policy. The above accounts are what I have personally witnessed and heard. Because the police guards
closely monitor the detained practitioners and forbid them from communicating with each other, I was
only able to find out this much information.
