By a Falun Dafa Practitioner at National Tshing Hua University

(Clearwisdom.net, September 28, 2003) As new students started the fall semester in National Tsing Hua University and National Chiao Tung University, the universities held orientation fairs as they have done in the past. With the Fa-rectification progressing fast, Falun Dafa organizations in these universities took this opportunity to tell more people about the benefits of Falun Dafa and to tell them about the illegal persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners in mainland China by Jiang's regime. Practitioners in these two universities worked together to bring Dafa to new students through students organization activities. Following the orientation fair at National Chiao Tung University, they participated in a similar event at National Tshing Hua University.

In addition to our main ways of truth clarification that include distributing introductory flyers and playing videos, we made a display board about three feet tall. We carried this eye-catching information board to show students by the road. Videos played an important role during our activity. Almost all the people who happened to pass by saw it. Many of them stood there to watch a section of the video, and its truth-clarification effect was excellent. Students in other organizations would turn around to watch our video when they had time. Many glued their eyes to the beautiful exercise demo as if their hearts calmed down together with the practitioners who were meditating and holding Falun in the video.

We found more people could understand Dafa than last year. Even some students from overseas came to get materials. A German student told us that he had heard about Falun Gong in his country but he had not known what it was until today. A black student said that he had heard about Falun Gong in another country. Now that he had received the introductory material, he would study it carefully. Another student came and asked us aloud, "When on earth can Jiang be trialed and convicted?" Another student came to get materials. Although she didn't tell us that she would learn the exercises, she turned around and shouted to the students passing by, "Falun Dafa is great! Come and learn it!" Some students said, "I haven't made up my mind to learn Falun Gong, but I would like to listen to your description of Falun Gong." More students told us that they completely understood that the suppression of Falun Gong in mainland China was because of its popularity, and the suppression was not legitimate. Some older students who knew us came to say, "Nothing special. I just want to see how things are going whenever you have any activity. Come on!" These words showed their understanding, warmth and encouragement. Their support and identification with Dafa have given them a great basis for future cultivation.

A female student stood across from our booth for a long time. When it was close to the end of the fair, she came to say, "I have some questions about Falun Gong. Are you involved in politics? Why do you form an organization in the university?" She also asked why she always saw pictures of the persecution instead of Dafa's wide-spread and the bright side, and why people who practice forbearance told the truth (about the persecution) to the world instead of just forbearing it. After we answered all her questions, she was very satisfied. She thanked us and told us that she completely understood now.

As Teacher said when teaching the Fa at the Washington D.C. Fa Conference, "Looking at the current situation, the enormous current of Fa-rectification is soon going to gush over here, so a lot of things are being demolished bit by bit, and the most surface dimension is being reached bit by bit. That's why in some regions new students have started to come one after another. And if that's the case, the overall situation is going to change really fast." (Teaching the Fa at the Washington D.C. Fa Conference) Compared to the past, more students said they wanted to learn Falun Gong and left their contact information. "By chance", the university "happened" to encourage student participation by giving out goodies to those who got an organization stamp from each student organization on a list. So, more students got our organization stamp, Dafa introduction materials and flyers at our booth. All our flyers were gone close to the end of the fair. Only some introductory materials were left. Although the students who received our materials haven't started their cultivation, they have established a good future chance for obtaining the Fa.

The orientation fair at Tsing Hua University was much busier than last year. Everyone has a knowing side. At this historical moment in the upcoming Fa-rectification, Teacher's law body and people's knowing side will give them chances to approach and learn about Dafa. In Taiwan, almost nobody is hostile to or has negative thoughts about Dafa. There used to be people who would say, "I have heard about Dafa, but don't know what it is." Now they come by themselves to cultivate in Dafa or to learn the truth. The wide spread of Dafa in Taiwan forms a sharp contrast to the suppression of Dafa in mainland China. As the Dafa practitioners become more and more mature, the youthful practitioners in will do a better job spreading the Fa in universities and introducing the beauty of Dafa to more people.
