Dafa practitioner Ms. Lu Guiling is from Jiangjiazhai Village in Wenquan
Township, Huancui District, Weihai City, Shandong Province. On January 23, 2003,
she was charged and put under detention as a "criminal" by City Police
for tapping into a local cable system to show truth-clarifying videos.
On February 27, she was transferred to Weihai City's Huoju High-Tech
Development District Police Department Detention Center. She was formally
arrested at Weihai City Detention Center on March 24th and sentenced to 19 years
in prison on June 20th by the Weihai City Huancui District Court.
Ms. Lu refused to cooperate with the evil forces during her detention and
went on a hunger strike. The persecution she suffered caused her to be in
critical condition. She was sent home to recover. Two months later, on September
21, at about 4:00 p.m., evildoers broke into Ms. Lu's home and abducted her
again when she was not yet fully recovered.
In addition, other practitioners sentenced to 20 years in prison on June 20
by Weihai City's Huancui District Court with Ms. Lu are the following: Huang Min
from Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province; Zhang Lejin from Shuangyashan City,
Heilongjiang Province; and Jiang Luguang from Yantai City, Shandong Province.
