For the Future of So Many Innocent Children, Bring Jiang Zemin to Justice
(Clearwisdom.net)
Rongrong is my friends' cute and lovely little girl. Rongrong was born in
November 1999, and is almost 4 years old. Children at her age are so adorable
and innocent; her life deserves joy and happiness. Yet, her life is plagued with
an inevitable sorrow that will accompany her for the rest of her days. Her
parents were taken from her; one was murdered in cold blood, and the other
illegally abducted to a forced labor camp.
Rongrong's father, Zou Songtao, was a compassionate, upright and dignified
person. He excelled in his academic studies and work, and held a masters degree
in Biology from the University of Haiyoung. On his 24th birthday in
1996, he learned the practice of Falun Gong. While he continued his studies, he
provided his family's home as a place for people to learn the practice of Falun
Dafa. He was a volunteer in teaching people Dafa and set an example in following
the principles of Truth, Compassion and Tolerance. Rongrong was born the same
year that Jiang Zemin banned Falun Gong. At this time Zou Songtao was illegally
detained in Dashan Police Station in Qingdao and was released one month later.
Soon after he was detained again by the Taixi Police Station. The police tried
to force him to reveal the whereabouts of other practitioners and to give up his
belief in Falun Gong; he refused to comply with them and told those corrupt
officers: "Falun Dafa is an upright belief!" Several wicked policemen,
including the deputy director of the station, Gong Guoquan, tied him in a chair
and violently beat him. He passed out covered with blood and bruises on his
body. The perpetrators carried him to a forced labor camp but the camp refused
to accept him because of the critical condition he was in after the beating. The
policemen then carried him back. After he came to, they sent him to Dashan
Detention Center in Qingdao City, where he was severely tortured again.
In July 2000, Zou Songtao was sent to Shandong Province Second Forced Labor
Camp without any legal procedures and shortly after he was sent to Zibo City
Wangcun Forced Labor Camp in September without his family even being notified.
Police took away his visitation rights and prohibited him from receiving
clothing and supplies from his family, who were later able to find out where he
was being held.
While in Zibo City Wangcun Forced Labor Camp, Under Luo Gan's supervision,
Falun Gong practitioners were continuously subjected to brainwashing. Staff at
the labor camp deprived practitioners of sleep for days at a time, forced them
to watch slanderous propaganda, and physically and mentally tortured them.
Vicious policemen, including Team Nine leader, Zhen Wanxin, tied up
practitioners and shocked them using more than a dozen electric batons at once.
Brutal force-feeding was a regular tactic of the staff there. Painful screams
could be heard throughout the labor camp. On November 3, 2000, police brought
Zou Songtao into an interrogation room and viciously tortured him for over two
hours. He was dead by 11:30am; Zou was 28 years old and his baby daughter
Rongrong was only 11 months old.
Rongrong's mother, Zhang Yunhe tried her best to explain to little Rongrong
what had happened to her courageous father. Afterwards, Rongrong crawled over
and kissed her father's urn.
In May 2001, after being discovered distributing Falun Gong truth
clarification material, Yunhe was forced to leave Rongrong and her home to
escape the same fate that Zou had suffered. Rongrong's grandparents agreed to
look after the little girl; Rongrong was now two and a half years old. For a
long time, no one knew Yunhe's whereabouts. Sometime later someone told Yunhe's
family that she was being detained in the Dashan Detention Center. Overwhelmed
by the grief of losing her beloved son-in-law and the disappearance of her
daughter, Rongrong's grandmother passed away in deep depression in August 2001.
Rongrong had lost the three most dear people in her life within two years.
How could a four-year-old child bear the pain of losing her father, being
separated from mother, and the passing of her grandmother who was so very dear
to her? Her world is filled with loneliness, fear, longing, and sorrow. How
could a little child bear all of this? How many family tragedies have resulted
from this terrifying persecution? How many families are being torn apart? How
many good people are suffering? Can kind conscientious world citizens continue
to keep silent and allow these vicious people go on persecuting innocent Falun
Gong practitioners? Rongrong is only one of the millions of innocent people
suffering from Jiang Zemin's persecution of Falun Gong. For the future of
countless children like Rongrong, help us bring the head of this orchestrated
brutality to justice -- Help Bring Jiang Zemin to justice.
