Three Dafa Practitioners in Guilin City Sentenced to Heavy Prison Terms

(Clearwisdom.net) On October 1, 2001, Dafa practitioners from Guilin City in Guangxi Province, Mr. Huang Tenghui, Mr. Li Jun and Mr. Zheng Yuanhu, were arrested for making Dafa truth clarifying materials and detained in Guilin City's Second Detention Center. On January 31, 2003, the three were illegally sentenced to 10, 9 and 8 years of imprisonment, respectively. Huang Tenghui and Li Jun went on hunger strikes to protest but were force-fed by the police. Huang Tenghui's whole face was covered with blood after the forced feeding. Some of Li Jun's teeth were knocked out so that he could be force-fed. His esophagus was jabbed and injured in the process. Zheng Yuanhu was tortured until he almost lost sight in one eye and his whole body was swollen for more than a month.

When the three practitioners had been tortured nearly to death, they were forcefully sent to Guangxi Province Third Prison (Guilin Prison). The prison guards did not allow anyone to speak to the Dafa practitioners. In order to compel the Dafa practitioners to give up their belief in Dafa, the guards brought each of them into isolated cells. A circle was drawn on the floor and a practitioner was made to stand in the circle while five or six prisoners took turns preventing the practitioner from falling asleep. If the practitioner did not obey their orders, he would be brutally beaten and tied up. As Huang Tenghui and Li Jun protested against the persecution, they were confined in a solitary compartment and were prevented from meeting their family members. On July 29, 2003, during the confinement period, Huang Tenghui was beaten up by four or five criminals. He had injuries all over his body; his lower back was injured, which left him unable to turn naturally. The persecution of the three Dafa practitioners is still going on.
