The Importance of Carefully Reading the Persecution Articles on Clearwisdom.net

Recently, when sharing experiences with friends or on the internet, I found there is a problem among practitioners with respect to reading articles from Clearwisdom.net, and that is neglecting the reports on the persecution against practitioners in China. This manifests in several ways:

1. Indifference: Some only look at the title and think they have finished reading about the persecution . Some practitioners in China think they themselves are being persecuted and have no time to care for others. This is following the path the old forces arranged for us. The evil old forces in the universe are selfish, cold, indifferent and unkind, and this attitude causes them to create the enormous tribulation during Fa rectification. The old forces want to eliminate the lives they think are not worth saving in order to accomplish the "Fa-rectification they want" by sacrificing this part of the lives. In what positions are those beings that are indifferent toward Fa-rectification during this period placing themselves? The universe after the Fa-rectification will be incomparably pure and beautiful. Would this new universe allow the existence of sentient beings that have not conformed to Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance?

In addition, many Dafa practitioners who used their personal experiences to disclose the evil persecution became homeless, whereas some are still able to practice at home. These practitioners risk illegal arrest to expose the brutal persecution. One Dafa practitioner and his wife, just because he exposed the facts of the local officials beating a practitioner to death on the Clearwisdom.net, were forced to leave their home and lost their good jobs in less than a month after they were married. They are now considered fugitives by the police and are wanted throughout the entire country. It's been three years and I have not heard anything from them. These practitioners are giving up all they have as human beings to expose the evil, to let the entire world know the truth, to stop the violence and to save all sentient beings. If we as practitioners, cannot pay attention to the truth and use our righteous thoughts to eliminate and expose the evil, how do we expect everyday people to understand the truth about the persecution?

2. Some selectively read the sharing materials, glancing over the persecution facts, or only read about the persecution in the area where they live. For example, I had been illegally detained in a labor camp, so I only cared about the situation there and didn't pay attention to the persecution happening in other cities or provinces.

For a while I was walking down the wrong path. I read articles in the "Practitioners' Exchange Insights" section to improve my cultivation and I benefited a lot from them. My objective was to make improvements in my personal cultivation. But one day a phrase from Zhuan Falun occurred to me,

"And there's a problem with your character if you don't do anything when you see something awful like murder or arson. How could you then demonstrate that you're a good person? If you don't even do anything about things like murder and arson, then what would you do something about?"

It is a hundred times worse than murder or arson when the evil uses the most cruel means in the entire history of the world to persecute the most innocent, compassionate people! When we Dafa practitioners feeling nothing when it is right in front of us and only care about personal cultivation, this makes us part of the "selfishness," the factor that deteriorated all sentient beings and thus cannot conform to the Fa of the new universe. One unconsciously falls into the path established by the old forces if one only thinks about personal cultivation. Teacher wrote,

"'Tathagata' is what human beings call someone who's come with the truth and the power to do what he wants, whereas real Buddhas are guardians of the cosmos and are responsible for all righteous elements in the cosmos." ("Teaching the Fa at the Western U.S. Fa Conference" October 21, 2000)"

3. Some favor overseas news networks. Some people surf the news networks as much as they do Clearwisdom.net, some even more. They think articles in the overseas networks are written in ways that can "cheer them up," hence, they are reluctant to read articles about the persecution of Dafa practitioners. Some networks are established specifically for groups overseas and are not necessarily suitable for the domestic practitioners to read. These networks are more like references for disclosing the Party's real characteristics and we can't change their purpose.

Now, when I read Clearwisdom.net articles about the facts of the persecution, I see the persecuted practitioners sending out righteous thoughts to every single evil person and eliminating the hopeless beings that damage the universe and sabotage all other sentient beings. I am often in tears after finishing these articles. One time I read about a practitioner in Jilin who was illegally tried by the evil. The first thing she said was, "I am not defending myself, I am defending our Teacher!" I could not hold back my tears. It caused such a tremendous impact inside of me seeing this great, pure, righteous and selfless life formed from this evil tribulation. Teacher wrote,

"...the Fa has created millions and millions of Jesuses and Sakyamunis who have the courage to walk the path of Truth, who have the courage to risk their lives for the sake of the Truth, and who have the courage to devote their lives to saving sentient beings." ("Teaching the Fa at the Washington, D.C. Fa Conference" July 22, 2002)

I have been thinking about another question: Why hasn't the lawsuit against Jiang succeeded? Jiang was sued because he committed a despicable crime against the Fa-rectification. His brutal persecution against Dafa practitioners is so evil it's like nothing ever seen before. He's destroyed human morality and conscience on a large scale and hence has destroyed many people's future positions. Many people only emphasize the lawsuit itself and sometimes think, "Why has it not succeeded yet?" They neglect the fact that it is essential and important to support the case because it clarifies the facts of the persecution of Dafa practitioners on a large scale. We should go back to the origin and clarify the truth and thus clean the minute space that remains in the heads of human beings for the evil to survive. If all Chinese people understood the facts, the evil would not have a place to exist and would vanish in a second.

I respectfully ask all practitioners who have access to Clearwisdom.net to carefully read and provide materials about the persecution. Only when you firmly understand the truth can you help others do the same, and only then can you clear away the evil with your righteous thoughts. Every practitioner's absolute righteous thoughts are the biggest support for the practitioners being persecuted now. Teacher said,

"Everyone's time is limited, and Master knows that. So [you should try to figure out] how to budget your time reasonably. You have to rescue your fellow cultivators and Dafa disciples--we can't let the evil persecute them wildly and without restraint." ("Explaining the Fa During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference")
