UK: Introducing Falun Dafa at the Labour Party's Annual Convention in Bournemouth

(Clearwisdom.net October 11, 2003) Bournemouth is a city in southern England, where the Labour Party holds its annual convention. This year practitioners went to the conference venue to let people there know the facts about Falun Dafa and the persecution in China. This is the third year that practitioners have attended the annual convention of the UK's Labour Party. In addition to handing out materials exposing the persecution of Falun Gong initiated by the Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin, this year practitioners added information about the "global public trial of Jiang Zemin."

A lady who was heading for the convention center read the Dafa practitioners' flyer after it was given to her. She said, "I am pretty familiar with the situation of Falun Gong because I keep reading about you in the news."

Quite a few of the Labor Party members stopped when they saw practitioners distributing flyers and saying: "This is information about Falun Gong." They seemed to suddenly awaken from their deep thoughts after hearing the words "Falun Gong." Some party members requested Dafa materials when they saw a practitioner wearing clothes embroidered with the words "Falun Dafa" in both Chinese and English.

After accepting a flyer, one person said, "I saw you standing here distributing flyers in the rain. I think it must be very important, so I'll look through it thoroughly."

Another person saw a practitioner wearing clothes reading "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" in both Chinese and English. He stopped his bicycle to ask for a flyer.

Similar episodes occurred each day of the convention. During the process of distributing Dafa materials to the officials, practitioners felt that more and more people are longing to come to know Dafa.
