Elderly Practitioner Tortured in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp

(Clearwisdom.Net, October 16, 2003) Ms. Zhang Yunxia, 66, is a Falun Dafa practitioner in Tiefa City, Liaoning Province. She had been paralytic for many years and suffered from lingering diseases throughout her body. After she obtained the Fa, she miraculously recovered from her paralysis. For pronouncing the truth: "Falun Dafa is good" and "Falun Dafa is righteous", the local police sent her to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp for three years of forced labor. Because she refused to renounce her faith in Dafa there, she suffered inhumane torture. She was often under strict surveillance on the first floor and isolated from other Falun Gong practitioners. She was handcuffed for extended periods of time, and sometimes her arms were bound with rope and she was deprived of sleep. Ms. Zhang was fed cornmeal three times a day for more than five months. When she refused to wear the criminal uniform at the labor camp, the policemen in the labor camp stripped her of her clothes and forced the uniform on her. Afterwards, collaborators (former Falun Gong practitioners who have gone astray due to brainwashing and torture) hid her clothing from her.

During a meeting for "strengthening disciplines in labor camp" on August 22, 2002, the police sentenced Dafa practitioners Ms. Song Caihong, Ms. Li Liming and Ms. Li Dongqing. Ms. Zhang Yunxia defied this unfair treatment and shouted "Falun Dafa is good!" Several policemen pushed and shoved her, taped her mouth shut and took her to a small cell. In the cell, she was tormented for twenty days. In addition, her forced labor term was extended by three months.

In December 2002, the so-called "Assistance and Education Group" organized by some officials in Liaoning Province and the police in the labor camp conducted more brutal persecution of steadfast Dafa practitioners in the Second Women's Camp. Ms. Zhang was suspended from the heating pipes, with her feet more than a foot off the ground. Later, they forced her to sit with her legs crossed and tied her in that position for over ten hours. The police and collaborators tried to make her swear at Teacher, but she remained true to Dafa and Teacher. Instead, she clarified the truth to the police and collaborators with her benevolent heart, telling them of the principle: "Good will be rewarded with good and evil with evil". Currently, she remains in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, still suffering brutal torture.
