Sharing an Understanding With Overseas Practitioners of How We Should Respect Teacher By a Dafa Practitioner in China (Clearwisdom.net) Fellow oversea practitioners, you are so lucky to have the
chance to see Teacher so many times over the past few years. There is no way you
can understand the yearning from the practitioners in China. Especially during
the almost five years of severe persecution, whenever we think of our Teacher,
it makes our hearts become more enlightened and strong. How many practitioners in China have not yet seen Teacher? How many Dafa
practitioners who have given up their lives to safeguard Dafa had not yet seen
Teacher? From the published lectures, we can always find some individual
practitioners not showing adequate respect in their manner when raising
questions to Teacher. Definitely, it is very easy to identify the questions that
were raised by everyday people or spies who have ulterior motives. I am not
pinpointing these groups of people, as I even include our new and veteran
practitioners who may have this deficiency. Actually the new practitioners, who may not have a deep understanding of Dafa,
should respect their Teacher and keep a polite and correct manner when asking
questions. If necessary, the veteran practitioners should remind them. In the
society of everyday people, we should be the model of showing respect to
Teacher. In Teacher's lecture "Teaching the Fa at the Discussion on Creating Fine
Art", I see that problem still exists. I perfectly understand practitioners'
excitement in seeing Teacher and how anxious they must be to have their
questions answered by Teacher. This does not give us the excuse of neglecting
our manners. Respect and politeness does not mean making long compliments before
asking questions. The heart of respect from Dafa practitioners manifests from
inside and cannot be faked. It is pure and magnificent. The question itself may
be the same, but if it were asked with more respect, then perhaps it would not
give the feeling of something being amiss to a reader thousands of miles away.
We will know how to handle it well if we could all understand how precious
Dafa truly is. Posting date: 11/10/2003
