Police in Jinzhou City Harass and Monitor Ms. Fu Yan's Family 24 Hours A Day

Ms. Fu Yan, a Dafa practitioner in Jinzhou city, is 48 years of age. She began to cultivate Falun Dafa in 1996, and since then, her health has become better and better. Her coronary heart disease and disappeared completely.

In July 1999, Jiang Zemin began to suppress Falun Gong, but Fu Yan still steadfastly cultivated Falun Dafa. One day in the summer of 2003, when Fu Yan went out to clarify the truth to people, female Police Officer Wang Yue from Zhengda's local police station in Jinzhou City abducted her, pushing her headfirst down the stairs. During the abduction, the police scratched her, violently pulled her hair, and bruised the upper part of her breast.

Later on, Officer Liu Guidong and other police from Jinzhou Police Department took Fu Yan to a second detention center in Jinzhou City. Fu Yan held a hunger strike there for more than 30 days to protest the illegal detention. Seeing that she was at the brink of death, the detention center notified her family members. When her son came to the hospital, he burst into tears after seeing the awful effects of the torture on his mother. The police just sneered at her son's anguish.

After 41 days of detention, Fu Yan emerged with righteous thoughts. On October 30, the presiding judge and two police officers from Jinzhou court came to Fu Yan's home, announcing that October 31, the very next day, was the date of her trial. Fu Yan resplied, "No." That night, she left home with righteous thoughts. At 2:00 am the next morning, the Police Department in Jinzhou City started a manhunt. This incident regarding Fu Yan has now been classified as a "big case" by Liaoning Province. Since Fu Yan left home, her family has been put under surveillance 24 hours a day. Her phone has been tapped. The building on the opposite side of the street has been equipped with an infrared detection device. There are at least five policemen downstairs. The community office sent a person to live in the building to keep a close watch. On the street in front of the building, the police in a taxi drive by repeatedly after 10:30 pm to secretly keep an eye on the family.

Fu Yan's son is under surveillance 24 hours a day, being followed by more than 30 police officers or by a vehicle when he goes out. Police are hiding out at her son's school and work unit to keep a close watch on him. Each place has at least 30 people. Except for when he is asleep, every minute of her son's life is spied upon. Fu Yan's husband has been also watched over 24 hours a day. The situation of the family is temporarily stable.

One policeman said, "As long she comes home or calls home, regardless of whether or not she stays, if the Police Department finds out, we will charge the family with the crime of hiding a felon if the family does not report her. Then the whole family will be arrested." This shows how vicious the police are.
