Falun Dafa Practitioners from Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province Expose the Persecution of Ms. Wu Rongjie in the Wujiawa Detention Center

(Clearwisdom.net) We would like to expose how the Chaoyang City No. 1 Detention Center, municipal public security bureau, public prosecutors and people's courts persecuted Falun Dafa practitioner Wu Rongjie. We hope that these perpetrators will be put on trial for their crimes.

Ms. Wu Rongjie, 41 years old, lives at the family residence area of the Diesel Engine Factory. She benefited tremendously, both physically and mentally, after starting to practice Falun Gong. After Jiang Zemin initiated the persecution of Falun Gong, the police substation tried to force her to give up practicing. Wu Rongjie tried to explain her position, saying: "You all understand how I recovered my physical health completely after practicing Falun Gong. I will never say anything unfair about my Teacher or do anything against my own conscience or Dafa. If we are not allowed to practice, it will almost certainly guarantee the return of all of our illnesses, and may even be dangerous to our lives. Isn't what you are doing harming people?" She continued to remain steadfast in her belief.

On the night of December 30, 2002, Wu Rongjie was arrested by Liu Guozheng and another policeman from Linhe Police Substation, and was detained at Wujiawa Detention Center. During the period she was detained there, the police did not allow family visits and did not permit her to receive daily necessities. Since she did not even have a change of underwear, she was forced to use a prostitutes' underwear, and was infected with venereal disease. The lower part of her body is severely infected, and every day she is suffering greatly.

On August 15 of this year, Wu Rongjie was sentenced to eight years in prison, despite being seriously ill. On the same day, she was sent to the Shenyang Province Dabei Jail. The Dabei Jail refused to accept her because of her illness. The following day, she was sent back to Wujiawa Detention Center. Currently, the Chaoyang Detention Center has not treated her illness or released her. They have also denied her right to appeal her sentence. Wu Rongjie, wracked by illness, had to start a hunger strike in protest. Currently she is critically ill.

On October 7, 2002 , during Director Ren Guofan's term, practitioner Mr. Li Hongwei died of severe torture after being jailed illegally for over ten days in Chaoyang Wujiawa Detention Center. In order to conceal their crime, the police spread the rumor that he died of illness. When a member of Mr. Li's family tried to take pictures of his body that was covered with injuries, the police beat and handcuffed the family member to a heating pipe for one day and night. They also smashed the camera and destroyed the film. They cremated the body without getting permission from the family or even notifying them.

At about 5:00 p.m. on September 27, the Public Security Bureau again searched Wu Rongjie's home and arrested her husband Dong Shixi for no reason. At present, their fourteen-year-old child is left alone without parental care.
