Changchun Practitioner Ms. Chen Meiqiu Repeatedly Sentenced to Labor Camp for Belief in "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance"

Ms. Chen Meiqiu, a Dafa practitioner from Changchun City, Jilin Province, supported her 72-year-old mother and 16-year-old daughter by doing odd jobs, and their life was very hard. On the afternoon of March 12, 2002, the police kidnapped Ms. Chen at their doorstep when she came home from work. She was sent to the Third Detention Center. During the detention period, the police tortured her brutally every time they interrogated her. Because she upheld "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance," she was sentenced to one year in the Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp.

A year later, she was sent directly to Longshan Brainwashing Class for further persecution, because she refused to give up her belief in Falun Dafa. Between August and September of 2003, she was sent back to Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp, where she is continually persecuted. Her elderly mother has been without care, and her daughter had to drop out of school because she was not able to pay the tuition. Both grandmother and granddaughter are now experiencing an extremely sad and difficult life.
