The "610 Office" in Wuhan City collaborated with the Wuhan Educational Bureau and issued a document to all primary and high schools in the city as part of a propaganda campaign against Falun Gong using fabrications. The document requires the establishment of an "Administrative Team" in each school with the principal as director, the vice principal in charge of moral education as vice director, and all the homeroom teachers as members. It claims that this team will enable all teachers to play full roles in the political campaign against Falun Gong. It stresses that the development and results of this propaganda campaign will be one of the criteria used to evaluate each school's yearly performance. It also asks for lesson plans from each school to be handed in by late November in order to intensify the persecution and defamation of Falun Gong.

Zheng Yuxiu, in her 60's, lives in the Mazhang District of Zhanjiang City. She persists in practicing Falun Dafa and clarifies the truth of Dafa to people around her. On the morning of November 15, 2003, Zheng Yuxiu was illegally arrested while posting truth-clarifying materials. Currently she is being detained in the local Ruiyun Police Substation. Her husband, who is paralyzed, stays at home alone. Nobody is taking care of him. We appeal to fellow practitioners outside China to make phone calls to people involved in the case and clarify the truth to them.

Wang Famao, a Falun Dafa practitioner, lives in Butou, Taolin Township, Zhucheng City. In mid September of 2002, Wang Famao was arrested by police from Jiaonan. Around July 20, 2003, he was sent to the Weibei Forced Labor Camp. The police kept harassing his family members during this time. They abducted his wife and little daughter, who is only about six years old, and detained them in the Dachang Police Substation in Jiaonan several times. The last few days of their detention his wife and daughter were not even allowed to eat or drink. The police abducted Wang's family members in an attempt to obtain some information about other Falun Dafa practitioners and to extort 3000 yuan as well. The police did not release them until Wang's daughter began to cry from hunger. There are plainclothes policemen keeping an eye on their residence.

Sui Hongju was an employee of the Cotton Textile Plant in Zhucheng City. She is being subjected to all kinds of torture in Wangchun Forced Labor Camp simply because she refused to renounce her belief in the Falun Dafa principles of Truth, Compassion and Tolerance. Because she protested against the authorities efforts to force her to renounce her belief, she was hung up, beaten, and confined in a small, wet, solitary compartment, where she was tortured inhumanely. She has been subjected to such torture for over half a year. Her current situation is unknown.

Ms. Yan Junlian and Ms. Liu Yanmei are two Falun Dafa practitioners from Daqing General Petroleum Corporation. In October of 2003, they were reported while putting up truth-clarifying banners. Later on, police, who were staying at Zhuanpandao in Wolitun for a long time just to capture Falun Dafa practitioners, illegally arrested them.

Ms. Nan Minxiang, a practitioner from Xishui County, was arrested prior to the meeting of the Party's 16^th Congress. In October 2003, she was sentenced to three years in prison. She is preparing to appeal and has been on a hunger strike for over ten days in the prison. Ms. Li Meirong, a fellow practitioner, has also been on a hunger strike. Their lives are in great danger. Currently they have been sent to the hospital for emergency treatment.

Zhang Ruifang, in her 50's, lives in Huaiyang County. She has been missing since January 10, 2003, when she was returning to her mother's home with Dafa materials. Her mother's home is in the Xinyang area. She never returned. Nobody knows whether she is still alive or not. It has been heard that she was illegally arrested by police in the Xinyang area.

Ms. Wang Yuhong from the Optical & Electrical Branch of the Chengdu Science & Academic Institute, and Ms. He Guiqing were illegally arrested while distributing truth-clarifying materials at Gaodianzi, in the Jinjiang District of Chengdu city on November 9, 2003. Their current situation is unknown.

Ms. Wang Meilan, a retired teacher from the No.3 High School of Chengdu City, was arrested while at home.

On October 22, 2003, two officers (agents) from Quzhou County (one of them named Song Huiguang) pretended to be cotton vendors. They arrived at a village about 9:00 am and went around the area looking at cotton. Around 1:00 pm, practitioner Zhang Fengling led the two to her home to see cotton. Soon after, about thirty people from the local police substation broke into her home and forcibly sent Zhang Fengling to the brainwashing class in Handan City.

Zhao Junfang and Fu Qingzhi, two Falun Dafa practitioners from Xiliu Town, Haicheng City, were illegally arrested by policemen from the Development District Police Substation while distributing truth-clarifying materials in the Teixi Development District on November 11, 2003. They are being detained at the Haicheng Detention Center.

The Shenyang Railway Bureau (which administers the lines to Jilin, Changchun, Tonghua and Meihekou) received an order from the "610 Office" to "transform" Falun Gong practitioners before the end of the year. Those who do cannot be transformed will be sent directly to the Luotaishanzhuang Brainwashing Class" held in Fushun City, Jilin Province, with a payment of 3500 yuan each as expenses for probably three months. If they still don't "transform," they will be jailed. Since November 1, leaders from the Shenyang Railway Bureau have been talking with practitioners themselves as well as their family members in order to pressure them into complying.
