After Witnessing the Karmic Retribution that Happened to Her Husband, the Wife of a Department Head Returns to Practicing Falun Dafa

(Clearwisdom.net) Li Xin (pseudonym), the wife of a division head, got along very well with me when we worked together. Later on, her husband was transferred to another place as a division head, and we contacted each other much less thereafter. Four years ago, on July 21^st, 1999, (she told me this date afterwards), her husband, who used to be quite strong and healthy, suddenly died not long after he assumed office.

Rumors about the mysterious death of this division head spread out quickly. Some said that he died of excessive drinking; some said that he died in a fight; some even said that his death was related to women, etc. We did not know what the truth was.

Recently Li Xin came back to our city on a business trip and called several past colleagues for a short reunion. When we met, she held my hand and said, "you are still so youthful." I told her, "I have been practicing Falun Gong. If you want to be youthful and pretty, you can practice with me." She continued the topic and said, "I also practiced Falun Gong for about three months before. Falun Gong is good. But I haven't practiced for over four years now."

I felt very sad for her and asked her to practice again. But she said, "there are many things that you do not know. Do you know how my husband died?" She then told me a secret not known to others.

Li Xin obtained the Fa in April 1999. She kept up her practice everyday in the park, and conducted herself as Dafa required. Her temper became better and she was more friendly to others. At that time, her husband was very supportive. He even spoke very highly of how good Falun Gong was in many public occasions, and briefed the changes in his wife after her practice.

On July 20, 1999, the sudden mass arrests of Falun Gong practitioners, and the widely spread rumors and propaganda, had put Li Xin's husband in an awkward situation. One side was his career and the other side was his wife's beloved and wonderful experience, both mentally and physically. He chose the former knowing that he could not have both. On July 21, namely, the second morning after the persecution began, failing to persuade his wife to stop practicing, he started to attack Master and Dafa and they both began to quarrel. "He used very vicious language to curse Master, and his ferocious manner made me shiver. I still cannot forget that scene even now." Li Xin said.

Then, later that night, Li Xin's husband suddenly died without warning. "Everyone speculatee about his death, only I know clearly in my heart, I know the reason of his death." Li Xin, looking at me, said calmly. I asked her to restrain her grief; those alive still have to make a living. Being able to cultivate oneself in Dafa is the most precious opportunity in one's life. We should cherish this rare chance. She promised to start anew and come back to cultivate in Dafa again.

If one clearly knows how good Dafa is, but viciously slanders Dafa, against his own conscience, his behavior is then very irresponsible to his own life. What kind of career and money can be used to exchange one's true eternal wellness?
