Germany: Clarifying the Facts at the Wuerzburg Expo (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net) At the end of autumn, Dafa practitioners from Wuerzburg in Germany received an invitation from the government to perform in the city's arts festival. Practitioners put on their golden yellow exercise suits and went to join the festival. One of the practitioners who took part in this festival was seventy-five years old.

Practitioners attracted a lot of attention from the spectators, including the festival presenter who is an experienced actor. He was very interested in practitioner's exercise performance and when he learned about the brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China he was shocked. Before our performance, he used a loudspeaker and microphone to tell everyone in the hall about Falun Gong and the persecution in China. As a result many people came to see what Dafa was all about.

Practitioners performed the five sets of exercises and one practitioner acted as both a commentator and an instructor, co-ordinating the exercise demonstration and letting the audience know more about the exercises. During the last ten minutes he answered questions from the audience about the persecution and gave details about the location of local practice sites.

The entire performance took about half an hour and was filmed by a local TV station, who later screened it. The success of the activity was beyond the expectation of the practitioners. A few days later, one of the practitioner's was walking down the street when a stranger stopped him. The stranger said that she recognised the practitioner from the TV program and that she liked Falun Gong a lot.

Another German lady phoned a practitioner and said that she first came across Falun Gong at an expo and wanted to help practitioners. She wrote a letter to the Chinese Consulate in Germany and in her letter she stated that, "I have heard that China is a very popular place and has a culture that is thousands of years old. I hope that one day I'll be able to go there. I heard that the persecution and torture of Falun Gong practitioners in China is destroying the [Chinese] moral standards. Sir, please help to maintain trust in your country and do not violate any UN human rights articles." This lady also signed a petition to sue the instigator this persecution Jiang Zemin, as well as spreading the facts about the persecution to her friends. Practitioners were very glad that kind people learned the truth.
