Account of the Torment Suffered by Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Gao Chunlian in the Zhuozhou Detention Center and Baoding Forced Labor Camp

(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa practitioner Gao Chunlian lives in Dashakan Village, Zhuozhou City, Heibei Province. She was illegally detained in Zhuozhou Detention Center in Heibei Province in May 2001 and she began a hunger strike to protest her illegal detention. To force-feed her, the police inserted very wide rubber tubes into her nostrils. They purposely inserted a tube that was too long and then pulled it back out, causing severe bleeding. Other inmates who witnessed the scene were too scared to cry.

In July 2001, she was illegally transferred to the Baoding Forced Labor Camp in Heibei Province. In order to force her to give up her beliefs, the police did not allow her to sleep for up to five days. They also forced her to stand upright for a long time and to squat while clasping her legs. On July 25, 2002, the police beat and abused her, and handcuffed her to a metal chair for three days because she refused to watch a video slandering Dafa. On August 12, the police shocked her with electric batons because she would not cooperate with the police and accept this kind of abuse. The police also beat her together with several criminal inmates. They grabbed her hair and slammed her head against a wall more than 40 times, slapping her, and beating her on the mouth and lower jaw with their fists. Four people took turns kicking her legs and the police kicked her abdomen ruthlessly. In the end, her face and head were beaten so badly and were swollen to such an extent that she could no longer even lie down. Her nose was bleeding and her mouth festering, which prevented her from being able to eat; there was hair and blood all over the floor making the room unfit for habitation. Her left leg had been crippled and she was not able to walk. Even under those conditions, the police still did not allow her to sleep, but ordered her to do labor by cleaning the lead boards. She inhaled large amounts of dangerous lead toxin every day and had to carry very heavy metal frames. She was not allowed to eat until 4 o'clock in the afternoon.

After the her term of forced labor came to an end, the local office did not let her go back home, but instead forced her to go to the Zhuozhou brainwashing class. In order to protest this inhuman treatment, she went on a hunger strike. The vicious persons tortured her again by brutally beating, force-feeding and handcuffing her arms to the bed every night. After more than a month of this torture, she vomited continually. It was not until she was at the brink of death that her tormentors notified her family to take her to the hospital. When they heard about such cruel and inhuman persecution, the local citizens were all very indignant.
