News from Mainland China: The Evening News Attacks Falun Gong - I Don't Want to Subscribe to It

One day, a newspaper deliveryman wanted to recruit new subscribers. An old man told him, "The Evening News often publishes articles attacking Falun Gong. Therefore, I don't want to subscribe to it. Falun Gong practitioners are all kind people. They practice compassion and don't kill lives. The newspaper fabricates stories about Falun Gong practitioners committing suicide, homicide, and self-immolation. If the newspaper no longer publishes articles slandering Falun Gong, you will find more subscribers!"

One day I hitched a ride with a truck to go to a city. I overheard the dialogue between the cargo owner and the driver.

Cargo Owner: Now, it is very difficult to do business because peoples' sense of moral values has degenerated and there are no good people left.

Driver: It seems to me that Falun Gong practitioners are good people. One day, I saw a car knock down an old lady who was walking along a sidewalk while holding a washbasin. The old lady's hands were bleeding and the washbasin was crushed. The driver was scared and helped the old lady up and asked: "Are you hurt? Can I send you to the hospital for a check-up?" The old lady replied: "I am a Falun Gong practitioner. It doesn't matter. You can go now." The driver took out 15 Yuan for the crushed washbasin. The old lady did not take it. She said: "You did not intend to hit me."

Cargo Owner: "Oh, if it was an ordinary person, who knows how much money would have been extorted.

Teacher: The "610 Office" sent another notice requesting Falun Gong practitioners to attend brainwashing sessions. How come there is no end to this?

Principal: They use this method to extort money over and over again from the working units and Falun Gong practitioners.

Teacher: I heard that in the brainwashing centers [the police] threaten families of Falun Gong practitioners with forced labor camp terms to induce them to invite the police out or to give them a gift, thereby extorting money from them.

Principal: Only in this way can the "610 Office" receive bonus awards. Oh, they are fully corrupt.
