Clarifying the Facts to Visitors in China

(Clearwisdom.net) Through my connections at work, I often come into contact with foreign tourists and students who come to study in China from areas that include Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan. Many of them have heard of Falun Gong, but there are some who were not very clear about the practice or the persecution, or who have some misunderstandings about it. I am very grateful for Teacher's benevolent arrangement to allow me the opportunity to clarify the facts directly and indirectly to these predestined individuals. Among them were some, who after learning the facts, gained the right understanding, learned the exercises, or have read the book. They have thus built an excellent foundation for their future. I will narrate a few incidents that occurred around me.

(1) Once I conducted a sightseeing tour for a group of people from the United States and chatted with the group leader when we took a break. During our conversation, he told me that he believed in Buddha, so I asked him, "Have you ever heard of Falun Gong?" He mentioned that a friend of his was a Falun Gong practitioner who had talked to him about Falun Gong, but he was still not clear about many things. I then talked to him about Falun Gong, and explained that the Jiang regime manipulated the power they had to viciously suppress Falun Gong because so many people were practicing it. I also discussed my experiences and the physical and spiritual benefits I received from practicing Falun Gong. He expressed great interest after listening to me. The next day I gave him an English copy of the introduction book to Falun Gong. Perhaps he informed the others in the group about my practicing Falun Gong because the next day, since a number of them asked me to be very cautious. I assured them that I would.

(2) One time I was having a meal with a senior official of an international organization whom I had known for a long time, and our discussion touched on the topic of Falun Gong. I informed him that I practiced Falun Gong. He was very surprised and asked me many questions. I spoke about my personal experiences and the mistake that the people in power in China made by suppressing Falun Gong. I spoke about the basic human rights, and how to really be a genuine practitioner. In the process of our discussion, I felt that Teacher was by my side with the magnificent mercy that is beyond description. Three hours passed by very quickly and the official changed some of his views regarding Falun Gong.

(3) I knew a foreign student who came to China to learn the Chinese language. During one of our conversations, I told her that I practiced Falun Gong and she thought that was excellent. Without any hesitation, she said that she was interested in learning it. She learned all five exercise sets very quickly. Since then, she told me that she felt extremely comfortable after doing the exercises. I also hoped that she would accompany me in reading Zhuan Falun, which she was most willing to do. We agreed on a time to read the book together. Initially she read very slowly because she had limited knowledge of the Chinese characters. Gradually, she was able to recognize more characters. Eventually, there were five other foreign students who also came to learn the exercises. I came to understand that these individuals had not come to China by chance, and I earnestly hope that when they return to their country they will persevere in the cultivation of Falun Dafa.
