My Neighbors Want to Learn Falun Gong

(Clearwisdom.net) In 1996, I was diagnosed with chronic Hepatitis B. After going through several years of treatment, my condition had not improved at all. In 2003, right after the Chinese New Year, I went to the hospital for a re-examination. When the results came out, the doctor immediately requested me to stay at the hospital to receive further treatment. During my stay, I had to take several bottles of medicine each day. Twice I almost lost my life due to inappropriate doses of medicine given to me. After being hospitalized for over a month, there wasn't the slightest improvement in my health. My physician simply shook his head and said that he had never seen such a serious case of hepatitis. People in my situation would improve after over ten days of intravenous injection. However, not only did my condition fail to improve, but many other symptoms of illness also started to appear. I vomited after each meal, my face swelled up, my skin turned a sickly yellow, and I felt weak all over. In the end, even getting out of bed turned into a daunting task. Finally, the doctor had to give my parents a notice that I was critically ill.

Both my parents practice Falun Gong and they also urged me to practice. I had read many of the truth clarifying booklets that people with conditions more critical than mine had all recovered from practicing Falun Gong. Hence I made up my mind to learn Falun Gong. In the morning, I listened to my parents read Zhuan Falun while I received my treatments; in the evening, I practiced the sitting meditation. After a few days, I was able to walk and my body felt really energetic. The test results also indicated that my abnormally high level of liver function had dropped dramatically. I truly felt the power of Dafa and made up my mind to practice Falun Gong at home. What touched me the most was Teacher's immense compassion.

After returning home, through reading Zhuan Falun many times, I understood the fundamental reason behind people's sicknesses. I also realized that as long as we practice Falun Gong with a pure heart, Teacher would cleanse our bodies from the root. Also, the places that had illness in the past would be dug out and purified. Indeed, in less than a month, my feet, legs and abdomen swelled up. My abdomen was so swollen that it became difficult for me to turn my body. My legs became so cumbersome that I needed assistance to sit in the couch, to walk, and to use the washroom. My feet were so huge that the largest size slippers still couldn't fit me. However, my upper body was as skinny as a stick. The sight of me was terrifying, and many people said that I was doomed. Through studying the Fa, I realized that I had not relinquished my attachment to healing illness. The standard in cultivation is extremely high and does not allow this kind of pursuit. Instead, as long as we view this phenomenon from the standpoint of a cultivator and truly let go of our attachments, everything will be resolved. After realizing this point, changes started to occur in my body. My body was no longer swollen and my face gradually obtained a fair and rosy complexion. In less than a month, my illnesses were gone.

I had not gone out of the house for half a year because of the illness. The instant I went outside, my neighbors were so amazed at the sight of me. I know that although they did not express it out aloud, they all know that Dafa is supernormal. Some people that were against Dafa in the past are now taking the initiative to learn Falun Dafa from practitioners.
