A Brainwashing Center's Actions Reveal the Senselessness of the Persecution

(Clearwidsom.net) The night before the opening of the Sixteenth Party Congress last year, the local police abducted me from my home because I persisted in practicing Falun Gong. I was sent to a brainwashing center in Jinan City, Shandong Province to undergo forced brainwashing. There I witnessed this absurd drama.

A retired practitioner and his wife had both been illegally abducted and brought to this brainwashing center, where every Dafa practitioner was watched by a "teaching assistant." A "teaching assistant" is actually a scapegoat for the brainwashing center so that if anything happens to the Dafa practitioners, the brainwashing center would not be responsible for it. This retired practitioner had not had a "teaching assistant" assigned to him yet. An officer from the brainwashing center therefore ordered the manager of the factory where the practitioner used to work to send a person to be a "teaching assistant" in the brainwashing center. The manager firmly refused, so the brainwashing center threatened him, "Watch your step! We might remove you from your post!" The manager replied, "We don't get paid for months at a time, and I have long wanted to quit anyway."

The brainwashing center officer did not give up. A couple of days later, he summoned a security guard from the factory to the brainwashing center. The security guard said: "My mother is hospitalized right now and her life is in imminent danger. I am going to the hospital to relieve my sister, who is taking care of my mother. I am not going to the brainwashing center." The brainwashing center officer said: "We are going to give you a ride to the hospital, but you have to stop by the brainwashing center to take a look first." The security guard thought: "I will just stop by there for a while. The hospital and the brainwashing center are not far away from each other."

However, to everybody's surprise, when the security guard came to the brainwashing center, he was locked up with the Falun Gong practitioners on the second floor. There are two iron gates, one at the main entrance downstairs and one at the entrance to the second floor. Even the windows are barred. The whole room is like a huge iron cage. The security guard was furious.

The security guard went to talk to the officer in charge. He came back seething with anger and said: "It's too absurd! I told them that I did not commit any crime and they have no reason to hold me here. My mother's life is in imminent danger. I have to take care of her. But they refuse to let me go. I told them that I will sue them. They said 'You go ahead to sue us if you dare.' They told me that I have to find another person from my factory to substitute for me if I want to get out of here, and that otherwise I have to be detained here with the Falun Gong practitioners."

While the security guard was talking, another "teaching assistant" who has worked here for about two months came over and said: "They will not let you go! Not long ago a teaching assistant could not tolerate being here anymore. He wanted to go home but was not allowed to do so. Then that teaching assistant went on a hunger strike to protest. After the fifth day of his hunger strike, the brainwashing center force-fed him. He could not tolerate the pain and suffering from the force-feeding so he then started to eat. Be patient! You can ask your family to call the head of your factory to find somebody to replace you. Otherwise you have no way to get out of here."

The security guard therefore called his family and the manager of his factory. His wife had thought that he was in the hospital caring for his mother. The manager of the factory said: "They told me that you just stopped by the brainwashing center to take a look. Why are you imprisoned there too?" The security guard said: "I am locked up behind iron gates. There is no way to get out of here. Please hurry up to send someone to replace me. My sister is still in the hospital waiting for me to take my turn to take care of my mother."

The next morning, the head of the factory security department visited the brainwashing center: "There really are so many layers of iron gates. They are not doing anything worthwhile, just arresting good people!"

Ridiculous, isn't it? The sign on the gate of the brainwashing center declares the center's official name: "Laws and Order Training and Education Center."
