The Inside Story of How Jing Zhanyi is Being Used to Spread Lies

(Clearwisdom.net) Recently CCTV's "News Focus" broadcast an interview with Jing Zhanyi. In the program, Jing Zhanyi denied that his two patented inventions were invented after he had practiced Falun Gong. However I can testify that he publicly lied under pressure.

Before the 16^th National Party Congress was held on November 2, 2002, the national police department conducted mass arrests of Falun Gong practitioners according to Jiang's directive. Zhang Xuejun, Jing's wife, was also taken to a detention center. She was kept in the same cell with me. I once asked her to share her story how both of them started to practice Falun Gong, and the speech that Jing Zhanyi made in Beijing. I read his speech in 1998. In his speech, he discussed how he used the improved mental clarity he developed after practicing Falun Gong to further his research on molten steel. As a result of his new understanding, he patented two inventions. His speech also mentioned the patent numbers etc. Zhang Xuejun confirmed this was all true. At that time, she accompanied Jing Zhanyi to Beijing. The attendees at the meeting had to be persons above the position of vice professor, because they were afraid that the topic might be somewhat controversial and some people might not understand.

Zhang Xuejun is a doctor at the No. 3 Hospital in Handan City, Hebei Province, who graduated from the university. Before she practiced Falun Gong, she had very serious myocarditis. She lay in bed every day, and could do nothing. Then she was introduced to Falun Gong in Guan County, Shandong Province. Her health became better and better, and all her pain and illness went away. Upon seeing her changes, Jing Zhanyi felt Falun Gong was good and also started to practice. As he practiced, he developed increased powers of concentration. Jing Zhanyi was the chief engineer in the Handan City Steel Company. The abilities he developed from his practice of Falun Gong allowed him to view his research in a new light and and he patented two inventions. What is worth mentioning is that one of the patent certificates was issued after the persecution of Falun Gong started in 1999.

Later, in order to substantiate his invention, Jing Zhanyi invested money in his own factory. However, he had not spoken in public after July 20, 1999. The police have visited his home many times. In the evil environment, Jing Zhanyi cannot understand Dafa practitioners' behavior of stepping forward to validate the Fa and clarifying the truth to people. He is stubborn regarding his own opinions, and is under the control of the authorities. Accordingly, under such heavy pressure, he does not dare to admit the truth.
