Ireland: Clarifying the Facts Outside the Irish Immigration Office (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) Recently, practitioners have been demonstrating the Falun Gong exercises outside different Irish governmental departments and media offices during the busy morning rush hour and the midday lunch break. In addition to performing the peaceful, slow Falun Gong movements, they have been handing out leaflets and displaying information boards. The purpose is to help the Irish government and media understand more clearly what Falun Gong is, to raise their awareness of the persecution of Falun Gong in China, and to expose the horrors of the crimes of Jiang Zemin's regime against Falun Gong. Practitioners also hope to gain support for the campaign to rescue two Chinese students from Ireland who have fallen prey to Jiang's brutal campaign.

When demonstrating the exercises outside the Irish Immigration Office, practitioners left people with a good impression of Falun Gong. Many passers-by took leaflets and expressed their support; others learned about the two Chinese students (Feng Liu and Fang Yang) from the information boards that practitioners had displayed.

Mr. Feng Liu has been illegally detained in Dalian Labor Camp since April of this year, and Ms. Fang Yang was stopped while attempting to board a flight for Ireland, even though she had obtained an Irish Visa. Her passport was confiscated, simply because she would not give up practicing Falun Gong. When practitioners went to the Chinese Embassy in Dublin on the World Human Rights Day (December 10th), an embassy official said that Feng Liu had been sent to a hospital. In China, only those who have been tortured severely are sent to hospital. From this, practitioners can conclude that Feng Liu's situation is very serious.

Here, we call upon the Irish Government and its people to help rescue Feng Liu and Fang Yang, and let them return to Ireland to complete their studies. Irish Falun Gong practitioners have decided that as long as these two practitioners have not been released, they will continue to let more people know the facts, and let people know what Jiang's scoundrel regime has done to innocent Chinese people.
