Four Lecturers and a Graduate Student from Chongqing Southwest Normal University Detained and Subjected to Brainwashing

(Clearwisdom.net) Four lecturers and a graduate student at Chongqing Southwest Normal University were taken away from the school, detained and subjected to brainwashing because of their firm belief in Falun Gong.

Mr. Han Yiming, age 46, born in Chongqing, is a lecturer in the Art College of the University. Because of his firm belief in Falun Dafa, in October of 1999 he went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. During this appeal, he was arrested and sentenced to two years in the Xishanping forced labor camp. After completing his sentence, he was taken to the Jingkou brainwashing center of Shapingba in Chongqing and detained for another year and a half.

Mr. Chen Fu, age 33, born in Chongqing, has a Masters degree in geography and is also a lecturer at the University. In October of 1999, he also went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong and support his fellow practitioners. He was also sentenced to two years in the Xishanping forced labor camp in Chongqing. After completing his sentence, he was also taken to the Jingkou brainwashing Center. No one knows his current whereabouts.

Mr. Wang Zhengyong, age 30, has a PhD in psychology and is a lecturer at the same university. Out of his firm belief in Falun Dafa, he clarified the truth to the public (this consists of speaking to people and handing out information). He was illegally arrested for this in Shengzhen in 2000 and still remains in custody.

Ms. Shi Junhua, age 33, born in Chengdu, is a graduate student at the University. She also remained firm in her belief in Falun Dafa and clarified the truth to the public. She was illegally arrested by officers at the Beibei local police station in Chongqing in May 2000, and still remains in custody.
