In Clarifying the Truth, Understand and Address the Source of Some People's Underlying Negativity

(Clearwisdom.net) We have become more skillful than ever before when clarifying the truth to people and we can more clearly clarify the fact that many practitioners have been tortured to death. However, we sometimes feel that we are not powerful enough to penetrate into people's deeper levels. Once, when we attended a public hearing in Washington, D.C., I was shocked to hear a practitioner comment afterwards that our practitioner witness did not put his heart into his speech.

Our clarifying the truth to people is not a mechanical task; rather, it comes from the kindness and compassion that comes from the bottom of our hearts. We must save as many sentient beings as possible before the destruction of the old forces. It is impossible to clarify the truth well if we don't base our efforts on this motivation of urgency.

Some practitioners have keenly observed that human beings in the dharma-ending period harbor a great deal of negativity. The aware side of one's true self is so eager to know the truth that it is in agony, which manifests as negativity. Our truth-clarification will achieve better results if we can empathize with this human suffering of longing for the truth. The movement to bring Jiang to justice is now occurring all over the world. In terms of both content and function, our thinking has reached beyond the laws created by humans and has extended to the spiritual level. If we can penetrate through the bitter fa ade to the source of the spiritual suffering of human beings while clarifying the truth to them, our realm and level of mind will become higher, as will the degree and magnitude to which people will be touched.

When clarifying the truth, we encounter various types of people, with both individual characteristics and characteristics of their generation, as well as those of society, spirit and morality. As we talk to each of them, we must target their positive sides, find the approach that can enable them to be saved, appeal to their consciences and cause a benign change to occur within them. Some practitioners have begun to use this method, and their results have been great. For instance, one practitioner keeps strong righteous thoughts when making phone calls to the Chinese people. He talks to the positive side of people from the beginning to the end of the call, compassionately clarifying the truth to their awakened side. He has achieved very good results each time, as this action specifically opposes the arrangement of the old forces, and causes the information blockade as well as the persecution that the old forces have imposed on salvageable people to fail.
