Spanish Falun Gong Practitioners Together with Jane Dai and Her Daughter Accept Media Interviews in Salamanca (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net, December 8, 2003) On November 30, 2003, Dafa practitioners in Madrid, together with Australian practitioners Jane Dai and her daughter, were specially invited to the city of Salamanca to be interviewed by local reporters. During their visit, the practitioners also spread Dafa to local people and let them know more about the persecution that is happening in China.

In the morning, practitioners went to La Alamedilla Park in the centre of the city to demonstrate the exercises and give a free exercise class. Many people who were walking in the park were immediately attracted by the beautiful exercises. They stopped to appreciate the peaceful and magnificent music that accompanied the exercise demonstration. Passersby happily accepted Dafa leaflets and took the initiative to talk with practitioners in order to further understand Falun Gong. Soon some people wanted to learn the exercises and many others joined in. As soon as the first session of teaching the exercises was finished, another started immediately. Some of those who participated in the first session stuck around so that they could keep learning. It was as if they could feel Falun Gong's profoundness and preciousness.

After practitioners completed the teaching session, they introduced Falun Gong's fundamental cultivation principles and characteristics of the universe, Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance, to the newcomers. Practitioners also told them about how practitioners in China are suffering brutal and inhumane persecution because they appeal for the freedom to practice the Falun Gong exercises. They were shocked to learn the truth, and praised Dafa practitioners for their bravery and perseverance.

In the afternoon, reporters from the biggest local newspaper in Salamanca City, "Salamanca Tribune" (La Gaceta de Salamanca) came to the park to interview some practitioners, and conducted an interview with Jane Dai, whose husband was tortured to death by the Jiang regime.

Among those who came to learn the exercises were two reporters from Salamanca University's radio station. After they learned the Falun Gong exercises and came to realize the facts of the persecution, they interviewed practitioners and said that they would also tell the public about the persecution. Another person who learned that exercises was a physical education teacher. He invited practitioners to teach Falun Gong exercises in his school the following month. Practitioners happily accepted the invitation.
