Letter from US Congressman Robert Andrews to Falun Gong Practitioner

Knowing of your interest in the plight of the Falun Gong, I wanted to share with you a letter that I, along with several of my colleagues in the Congressional Delegation of New Jersey, recently sent to Secretary of State Colin Powell.

As you are well aware, very little progress has been made in efforts to force the Chinese government to end its irrational persecution of Falun Gong practitioners throughout the world. I feel that this is a clear violation of human rights, and the United States government should take an active role in ensuring that the imprisonment, torture, and murder of Falun Gong practitioners be brought to an abrupt end. Please take time to review the enclosed letter to Secretary Powell, and know that I am working to ensure that the Falun Gong will someday be able to practice their beliefs freely and openly without fear of persecution.
