Partial List of Dafa Practitioners Tortured by Police in the Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp in Beijing

Mu Junkui, a 30-year-old man from Liaoning Province, was sent to the Second Unit on September 21, 2001. Mr. Mu was tortured with various types of corporal punishment. In early March of 2002, right after he was sent into the "intensive punishment" building, he was bound to the bed and shocked by eight electric batons for an entire day. According to witnesses, Mu Junkui suffered severe injuries all over his body, especially on the arms and legs.

Zhang Jiuhai, a resident of Ping'gu District in Beijing, is about 30 years old. Mr. Zhang was kidnapped and sent to the Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp for the second time recently. Zhang has been on a hunger strike for almost twenty days, and the police are force-feeding him. Zhang was last seen detained in the collective training unit. Nobody knows if he is still alive.

Fang Yingwen, about thirty years old, is a resident of Guangxi Province. He continues practicing Falun Gong, including sitting in lotus position, in the camp everyday.

Lu Weidong is around 20 years of age. He is a resident of Shanghai.

Wang Yanfang is a twenty-five year old man from Beijing. Wang's fiancee passed away while detained by Brigade Seven of the Beijing City Police Department.

Qian Shiguang is a sixty-year-old man who was kidnapped to Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp in October 2002. Policemen tied him up after he shouted, "Falun Dafa is good!" four times at the dispatch center. After being put into the third brigade of labor camp, Mr. Qian shouted, "Falun Dafa is Good" during a morning exercise session. The policemen took him away after beating him. Mr. Qian's whereabouts are unknown.

Li Chunyuan is a lecturer from Beijing National University. He spends several hours clarifying the truth to the brigade police each day. Through Chunyuan's efforts, the brigade leader has improved his attitude toward Dafa practitioners.

Li Xupeng was kidnapped into Brigade Five of Tuanhe Labor Camp. Li Xupeng has now been transferred to Brigade Seven.

Zhang Xiangyu is a resident of Daxing District in Beijing. The policemen deprived him of sleep for five straight days and nights in hopes of forcing him to give up his belief in Dafa, but failed. Zhang Xiangyu was later transferred to Brigade Seven.

Zheng Libin is currently appealing his case to a higher court.

Li Xiangsheng was sent to Brigade Five of Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp in September 2001. The police have repeatedly tried to force or trick him into renouncing Falun Dafa but have never succeeded. Li was also sent to intensive "training" for going on a hunger strike. He is currently in Brigade One. Li was also bound to his bed for over one month between August and September 2002.

Li Yuejin, male, 30, is a resident of Beijing.

Li Lanqiang, male, 30, is a resident of Beijing.

Liu Litao is a 30-year-old resident of Liaoning Province. In September 2002, he was punished by being forced to squat on the ground on one leg for long periods of time.

Wang Fangpu is a 30-year-old man from Hebei Province. He was sent to Brigade Five in Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp in 2002. Most of Mr. Wang's hair has turned white after suffering long-term corporal punishment and mental torture. However, he still continues writing letters to upper level authorities, hoping to awaken their conscience.

Liu Yongping was sent to Tuanhe in February 2002. Policemen in Brigade Five once kept Liu from sleeping for 12 straight days.

Wei Rutan and two other practitioners in Brigade Three went through daily corporal punishment, such as running and continually squatting on both or sometimes on one leg. Sometime the punishment starts as early as 6 a.m., lasting well into the evening.

Starting May 2002, policemen from forced labor camps in Shanxi Province, Yunnan Province, and Guangzhou City have come to Tuanhe to learn new ways to torture Dafa practitioners.

Most of the Dafa practitioners detained in Tuanhe clearly understand that the so-called "transformation" is a big deception comprised of false kindness, overwhelming violence, and devious deceit. Currently they are sending forth righteous thoughts so that they can break through the web of evil that is Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp. We hope the former practitioners who have been misled by the labor camp authorities will soon awaken and see through their lies.
