A Village Party Secretary: "Even If They Post a Falun Gong Flyer on My Forehead, I Will Not Tear it Off"

Because he was deceived by the media's false propaganda, he reported a practitioner who distributed Falun Gong materials to authorities, which caused the practitioner to be imprisoned in a forced labor camp. The secretary thus received a reward of 2,000 Yuan [Chinese currency, the monthly salary for an average Chinese urban worker is about 500 Yuan] but he felt guilty, and his friends and relatives also criticized him for his misdeed. Later some practitioners visited him with truth-clarifying materials and a VCD. He finally learned the truth, and deeply regretted what he had done. He told other people, "Don't bother me with anything about persecuting Falun Gong: I don't want to be involved, and you should not be involved, either. Even if they post a Falun Gong flyer on my forehead, I will not tear it off." Since then, the paintings and banners supporting Falun Gong in the village have remained untouched. Two years later, the paint is still clear.

In early January 2003, tax collectors came to the village to collect an agriculture tax. The party secretary explained to them, "Some people kept delaying payment of the tax. Only Falun Gong practitioners handed it in on time. If all people were like them, the work would be easier." The secretary and tax collectors went to every villager's home to collect the tax. When they came to a practitioner's home, the practitioner was busy making a huge banner reading "Congratulations: The Anniversary of [city name omitted to avoid persecution] City's Falun Dafa Day." He immediately paid the required agriculture tax. The tax collectors said to him with a smile, "Keep making your banner, we won't bother you."

The mighty power of Dafa has more and more people waking up from the media's slanderous reports. People are beginning to treat Dafa and practitioners with decency and kindness. The secretary supported Dafa, so he will have a bright future.
