1. It's really "Prearrangement arrives and Fa succeeds" ("Predestined Relationship", Hongyin)

I attained Dafa in February 1997, during the New Year holidays. Within one week, I read Zhuan Falun three times. The more I read the book, the more I wanted to read it. I felt that the book talked about a very important issue. The first heading in Lecture one in Zhuan Falun is "Genuinely Guiding People Toward High Levels" and that is exactly what the book does!

As soon as I started practicing Falun Gong, my body was purified and my many chronic diseases were cured without using any medication. My third eye could occasionally see scenes in other dimensions. Although I could not see my own energy level, I felt that I was breaking through to the microscopic world at the speed of a rocket. My experience was beyond anything that language can describe; it was just so wonderful.

When my daughter-in-law's grandson was born prematurely he was in critical condition and had difficulty breathing. A group of doctors diagnosed his condition as "hopeless," and since he was still alive the family took the child home in despair. I read Zhuan Falun to him for a whole night and on the second morning a miracle happened and he completely recovered. He is now healthy and very bright. I know this is because of the power of Dafa--it's our Teacher that saved him.

Since childhood I had been taught to be an atheist. But the superpower of Dafa has totally changed my narrow mind and concepts. Through careful thinking, I made the biggest decision of my life: to practice Dafa for the rest of my life, and to follow our Teacher and return to my true original state.

2. Suffering from the unprecedented abuses applied by evils

On July 21, 1999, Jiang's regime started the evil persecution of Dafa practitioners. All of a sudden, lies and rumors against Dafa covered the whole world. Many Dafa practitioners were arrested, beaten, or detained for long periods of time. Our great Teacher was defamed and slandered by Jiang's deceitful propaganda. Our peaceful cultivation environment was destroyed by evil. Under such pressure, I openly and nobly told people the truth about Dafa, told them my personal experiences, and told them how noble my Teacher was. When facing the people in my company, I explained that the TV programs were hideous slanders meant to spread fallacies to deceive people. Afraid that I would go to appeal, the local Public Security Bureau detained me from 7 p.m. July 22 to 2 a.m. July 23, 1999. Back home, I vowed to continue my practice in Dafa no matter what happened.

3. Fulfill my solemn promise and aid our Teacher in the Fa-rectification process

Since I did not know how cruel the evil tests would be or how long they would last, I thought that I had done everything I could do and that we Dafa practitioners were not capable of reversing the persecution. So I just waited for our Teacher to rectify everything. I played a word game to deal with the relevant officers, and kept on practicing and studying the Fa in my home. I was waiting for change to occur.

In October 1999, the situation became worse; most Dafa practitioners who bravely stepped forward to safeguard Dafa were arrested or detained, and the members of the Falun Gong Research Society were given heavy jail sentences. Through studying Dafa, I realized that I could not wait any more. Now that many veteran Dafa practitioners had been detained, I should continue the duty of Fa-rectification to aid our Teacher. I should go to Beijing to appeal for fair treatment of Falun Dafa practitioners. Since it was getting close to the Chinese New Year, I first had to take care of a lot of accounting work because I did not want my co-workers to misunderstand Dafa and leave a loophole for the evil. In February 2000, I told my fellow practitioners that I wanted to go to Beijing to appeal and explained why, and many of them stated the same intention.

So, on February 26, 2000, about a dozen Dafa practitioners and I went to Beijing together and handed in a co-signed letter to the Appeals Bureau. In the letter, we urged the government to respect the truth, to return the reputation of Dafa and our Teacher, and to release all of the detained Dafa practitioners. Then we prepared to go to Tiananmen Square. However, on the way we were fooled by the plain clothes police to get on a bus that took us to the Tiananmen square police station, where for the first time, I had a chance to share experiences with fellow Dafa practitioners from other parts of our province and from all over China. I found my shortcomings, knew what I should do, and became more determined in aiding our Teacher to rectify Dafa in this world.

On March 3,2000, we were escorted back to the local detention center and detained until July 6. Since we had gone to appeal as a group, I was thought to be the organizer and was to be sentenced to jail. In the detention center, my fellow Dafa practitioners explained the facts about the persecution of Dafa and exposed the lies against Dafa in the media to police officers, coworkers, relatives, and company managers. We proved how great Dafa is by describing our personal experiences and the good changes that had occurred in our bodies and minds as Dafa practitioners. By explaining the teachings in Dafa, which tell us to be noble people, we proved that all the defamation of our Teacher and Dafa were fabrications. We used the Chinese Constitution and the rules in the Chinese Communist Party to show that our appealing was right and legal and that the detentions were illegal, and therefore, we could not accept any charges against Dafa or Dafa practitioners. For one month, our group's truth clarifying efforts were very successful. Police officers changed from initially being confused to understanding us. Some police officers said, "I admire your Teacher, that he has such great disciples." Another police officer said, "You are really good; each time I have contact with you, I feel like I've improved. I'll also practice Falun Gong after the situation turns around." As Master Li said, "The Buddha-light illuminates everywhere and rectifies all abnormalities." (Zhuan Falun)

Since our energy fields were righteous. The police officers did not treat us as criminals during the four months we were detained. When they found us doing the Falun Gong exercises, they pretended not to see. I realized that we had a predestined relationship with the criminals detained with us. So I told them about how good Dafa and our Teacher is, and told them many of the cultivation stories, etc. Most of them benefited both in mind and body.

One woman used to have a lot of leg pains, but she recovered after only about three days of sleeping beside me. Another woman that had not had a menstrual cycle for over half a year had one after staying in my cell for about a week. One criminal dared not to practice Dafa for fear of her term being extended. But after she witnessed a miracle in which I disappeared into another dimension, she quickly started learning Falun Gong, and her appearance totally improved. Another criminal, sentenced to an indefinite prison term, learned Falun Gong happily. When police officers questioned her, she said, "Falun Gong is really good, if I had started the practice of Falun Gong earlier, I would not have done those foolish things."

Some criminals said, "I don't know why, but it is really comfortable staying with you, I don't feel any pains or diseases. When I want to curse, I am unable to say the words." This was a reflection of the power and compassion of Dafa and our Teacher.

4. Being righteous in my own way

Every word or action of a Dafa practitioner represents the image of Dafa. Many people do not know anything about Dafa, so they judge Dafa according to how they see us Dafa practitioners behaving. If we do not pay attention to our behavior, they may get a negative impression of Dafa. Before I went to Beijing, I wrote a letter to my manager to ask for time off, showed clearly the company accounts that I was responsible for, and made use of the chance to let them know about Dafa. This raised the attention of leaders in my county when the letter was read at a county-level meeting. Cadres that attended the meeting were shocked by my righteous behavior, and the news spread quickly across the county. Somebody said to me, "Your letter exploded in our county like a bomb, it became the hot topic all over the county. People praised and respected you when they saw that the accounts you are responsible for did not have an error of even one cent." Others said, "Dafa practitioners are great! They do not seek fame or money, they just ask for fair treatment of their Teacher and Dafa; this really shows the strength of character of our Chinese, they are truly good people. At this corrupt time, where can you find such good people?"

Later, when it was announced that I was going to be sentenced to imprisonment, many retired cadres, grandpas, and grandmas went to appeal for me. They said, "Can't you tell good from evil? Heaven's Law will not allow it if you sentence such a good person! Didn't she just go to appeal, what law has she broken?" These people demonstrated their kindness. Though they did not understand Falun Gong deeply, just by seeing my actions, they stood up for me. It was said that their appeals put pressure on the relevant officials, and it was one of the reasons that I was released.

After I was released from the detention center, my friends showed their warm concern for me. Those who did not know me before gave me a thumbs up sign to show their respect. My bosses, friends, and coworkers greeted me at my home as if they were welcoming the return of a hero from the battlefield. I thanked them and used the opportunity to explain about Falun Gong, to which they showed understanding and sympathy. Later I went back to work and openly studied Dafa, did the exercises, and validated Dafa to people. My manager said to me, "A good person like you will never do anything wrong, I believe what you say. But at this time, whatever upper management says is 'correct' even though they are wrong, and it is useless to appeal. If you like to practice, just practice in your home." I replied, "One's teacher is just like a father for one's whole life. Suppose your parents were slandered and framed, would you not to stand up for justice? Jiang is behaving like a hoodlum in persecuting us Falun Gong practitioners, and forces you to do evil things. How does this benefit society? My appeal is the right of every citizen guaranteed by our Constitution, and showed my trust in the government. Now I have totally lost my trust in those in power." Since what I said was righteous and reasonable, everyone listening understood.

During the past three years, I have been an open and noble Dafa practitioner.

I never hid the fact that I was a Dafa practitioner. When perpetrators tried to coerce my managers into removing me from my post, my boss protected me. My manager said, "We do not trust other people." Just like our Teacher said, "There are two circumstances in which they can't touch a Dafa disciple. One is that he is rock-solid. They don't dare touch him, because they know at that time that if this disciple has taken a righteous path and conducted himself well and someone still dares to persecute him, it doesn't matter that they're the old forces or what the old principles are--I absolutely won't spare them...... For example, after some Dafa disciples are arrested, they are able to maintain an unshakable calm, and they have no fear. You'll see that the old forces don't dare to persecute them. It's because they know that unless they beat them to death, any persecution of them won't do a thing, so they don't touch them." (Touring North America to Teach the Fa, March 2002)

I know that Master Li has been protecting me at all the times, so I am not afraid of anything. During the four months I was detained, nobody ever touched me; I was always shown respect. When my manager went to pick me up at the detention center, he was wondering why the police officers were so polite and nice to me. I said, "This is the power of Dafa, the power I gained through my practice of Dafa." Actually, when I was first arrived at the detention center, the police officers were nervous. After they learned what Falun Gong is, they became polite and nice to me.

5. Making progress together

Dafa practitioners are one body. We should progress together. A Dafa practitioner in the Fa-rectification period should have the concept that all Dafa practitioners are one body; this is harmonizing within Dafa, since our wonderful cultivation environment was damaged by the evil. Under pressure, many new Dafa practitioners or those who did not study Fa very well were intimidated. When I met with them, I encouraged them by saying, "We have our Teacher and Dafa, and there is nothing to be afraid of." I went to study Dafa with them in their homes, shared experiences, and talked about the situations in other places. In this way, our confidence increased. We posted Teacher's poem as antithetical couplets on our doors, and wore the Falun Gong emblem on our clothes to show openly and nobly that we are Dafa practitioners.

For those who had gone astray due to brainwashing and torture, we tried our best to help them return to the right way. If we failed the first time, we would try again, until he or she turned to Dafa. When the evil forces persecuted fellow Dafa practitioners, we negated the evil as a group. Since I took the lead in going to Beijing, a certain department wanted to make me leave the communist party and lower my rank; but I firmly opposed them. Several times, I wrote letters to the Disciplinary Department, the Supervisory Department, the Political and Judiciary Department, and the Procurator, etc to appeal, asking them to cancel the punishment against me and using the opportunity to explain the facts about Dafa to them. To save my fellow Dafa practitioners who were detained for long terms after they went to Beijing to appeal for a second time, several Dafa practitioners wrote a co-signed letter asking the relevant bureau to release the detained practitioners, but then they were also detained. I went to the Political and Judiciary Department and the Public Security Bureau on my own to point out their illegal behavior, and asked them to release all Dafa practitioners or otherwise they would have to take responsibility for the consequences. Some enraged leaders shouted and banged the table, and said that I was obstinate and interfering with their business. With dignity and seriousness, I pointed out to them that they were breaking the law by not allowing me to express my opinions. I asked them to show me what law those Dafa practitioners had broken or show the letter Dafa practitioners had written so I could also sign it, and they could detain us all together. Some of them said, "Do not show her the letter, because doing so would just help her to promote Dafa." They then agreed to report my appeal to upper levels and asked me to go home first. Later, when other Dafa practitioners heard about this, they were not afraid anymore and also went to the Public Security Bureau to ask for the release of detained practitioners. Subsequently, more Dafa practitioners were released.

People may not trust what they hear, but they will trust what they see and experience. Since we Dafa practitioners discipline ourselves according to Dafa, and have shown the beauty of Dafa to people, the masses have realized that what they have seen on television is all lies. They are awakening, and even those involved in persecuting Dafa practitioners know the truth of Dafa now. At this moment, most people feel that Jiangis very bad. He ignored so many important national issues and the real criminals, and just focused on persecuting goodhearted people. When Falun Gong is no longer persecuted in the future, Jiang will have to take responsibility for his crimes. Officials often pretend not to see what happened if the pressure from the upper level becomes too much. They just shout at us to show they are working. They have the attitude that, "As long as they do not go to Beijing and the upper level does not know what happened, just let them practice Falun Gong." If Dafa materials are found, they say that Dafa practitioners from other areas delivered them. Sometimes, if the upper level officials took action, they would try to warn Dafa practitioners ahead of time. So we felt that the environment in our area was relatively good. Dafa's power has been shown in our area. This is due to the Dafa practitioners realizing that we are one body, and to our efforts in explaining the facts about Dafa and exposing the lies in the Chinese media.
