By a Dafa Practitioner in China

(Clearwisdom.net) On the morning of August 30, 2002, a group of policemen rushed into my fashion shop. They arrested me and took me to the town public security sub-bureau, then transferred me to the county police station on the same day. They tried to force me to write a "guarantee" statement, which I firmly refused. That night, I was held in the detention center. On the second day, they interrogated me, saying, "If you give up the practice (of Falun Gong), I will release you. Otherwise, I will detain you." I firmly replied, "I will practice."

In the cell, I recited Teacher's articles, sent forth righteous thoughts and practiced the sitting meditation every day. A doctor at the jail verbally attacked Dafa, so I sent forth righteous thoughts every day to eliminate the evil behind him which sought to damage the Fa. A few days later, his demeanor improved and he no longer attacked Dafa; even his tone became soft when he spoke.

All the prisoners in our cell knew that Falun Dafa is good. They told me that more than ten practitioners had been to this cell. Practitioners taught them to recite the articles and practice the exercises, and did all the dirty and tiring work. They really admired Falun Gong practitioners. Over ten prisoners in our cell recited the articles and practiced meditation with me every day. One female prisoner could recite Teacher's article "A Suggestion" without missing a word; another elder sister named Duan could recite Teacher's poems in Hongyin without one mistake. We often sang songs together that were composed by Dafa practitioners. Buddhas save people with predestined relationships. I sincerely feel happy for these saved lives, and also deeply feel the mighty power of Dafa: "The Buddha's light illuminates everywhere and rectifies all abnormalities".

In the first month at the detention center, I was interrogated six times. Every time, I said to them, "There is nothing wrong with being a good person. There is nothing wrong with practicing Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance!" One day in the second month, the police again took me to the county police station. The police there put handcuffs on me, pushed me into the police car and took me to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. On the way, I started to introduce Falun Gong to the two policemen and the driver. In the beginning, they rejected it, but I did not give up, and continuously sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil elements in other dimensions that kept them from understanding the truth. After a period of time, they eventually woke up, and opened the handcuffs for me. Through this experience, I enlightened to the fact that we should not despise the deceived people, because there is a possibility for anyone to abandon wickedness and become compassionate.

The Masanjia Forced Labor Camp refused to accept me, so I was driven back on the same day. Three days later, the bureau chief said to me, "Write a guarantee statement, and you will be released." I replied: "Dafa teaches me to be a good person; there is nothing wrong with practicing Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance. What do you want me to guarantee? Guarantee not to be a good person?" He was very angry, "Because of you, your son can't study. His future is delayed by you." I said: "It is caused by your persecution of good people." The villains also got many of my relatives to urge me to write the guarantee; I was not moved a bit. On the same day, a medical examiner checked my health. I appeared to be in the advanced stages of a serious liver disease. The next day, October 29 2002, I was unconditionally released. Teacher said in "Also in a Few Words"�F"Indestructible righteous faith in the cosmos's Truth forms benevolent Dafa disciples' rock-solid, Diamond-Like Bodies, it frightens all evil, and the light of Truth it emanates makes the unrighteous elements in all beings' thoughts disintegrate. However strong the righteous thoughts are, that's how great the power is. Dafa disciples are truly stepping forward out of ordinary humanness." Once again, I felt the supernatural power of Dafa. I realized that as long as we firmly believe in Teacher and Dafa, there is no tribulation that we can't pass.

Before I left, all my cellmates held a special farewell party for me. First, Elder sister Duan read the poem she wrote for Dafa practitioners:

"The autumn wind is chill, the fog is vast/Dafa practitioners are detained in jails. /Go through this tribulation of injustice and insult, /Stay busy saving the sentient beings. Happy to see the saved sentient beings, /the good reputation of Falun Dafa spreads."

Another lady, Liu, wrote for me: "Practice the exercises to keep fit and be good people,/ Thrown into jail with injustice and insult/ relatives and neighbors expect and complain, Some can't distinguish righteous from evil/ the fog is thick and dense. /Do not live dishonorably,/ but walk out the jail in a dignified manner." Finally, together we sang the song "De Du" (Be Saved) that was written by a Dafa practitioner. "Fallen deep into the mortal world/ lost in the maze without knowing the way to return/searching hundreds and thousands of years/fortunate to meet Teacher who offers salvation to all sentient beings/ Be saved, Be saved/ Don't miss this chance again "
