In the past I had the following understanding of how to deal with the old forces' persecution. Every Dafa disciple has a cultivation path arranged by Teacher, and every test and tribulation we encounter has something to do with various factors we cannot know at present. Nothing happens accidentally. We should take the Fa as our Teacher, strengthen our righteous thoughts, let go of our attachments, and step out of humanness. As long as we can pass the test, I think we can be considered having safeguarded the Fa, validated the Fa, and harmonized the Fa. I thought we had met the standard set by Teacher, "Most fundamentally, you all still need to establish your great mighty virtue in the process of shattering the old forces' persecution, and return to your highest positions." ("Fa-Rectification Period Dafa Disciples" in Essentials for Further Advancement II)

From passively enduring persecution to not cooperating with the evil, from resisting the evil to breaking through the evil, somehow I still felt that I was in a passive state.

Recently through Fa-study, I came to realize that we must change from being passive to taking the initiative in dealing with the old forces' persecution.

Teacher said, "Dafa disciples are now sentient beings' only, sole hope for salvation." ("Righteous Thoughts")

Teacher also said, "You are Gods, and you are the future rulers of different cosmoses, so who would you count on? All the beings are counting on you!" ("Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A.")

At this critical, historical moment, we should take the initiative to clarify the truth, eliminate the evil and save sentient beings, as Teacher said in "The Foretelling,"

"The Dafa disciples
ascend to the heights of the heavens
In control of Heaven and Earth, rectifying the human realm"

We cannot rely on changes in human society. Nor can we passively wait for the force of Fa-rectification to come. Teacher said, "may you fulfill, with godlike righteous thoughts and righteous actions, the grand vows you made before history." ("New Year's Greetings from Master") If we remain passive, we won't be able to catch up with the Fa-rectification process.
