Breaking Through Interference to Clarify the Truth: Western Practitioners Sing at a Chinese Dinner Party

(Clearwisdom.net) Recently, three fellow Western practitioners and I heard about a large dinner party occurring in celebration of the Chinese New Year. At the suggestion of a Chinese practitioner, we decided to sing the song "Coming for You" at the party, as many people would have the opportunity to sing for the audience during the party. This was, of course, a precious opportunity to save precious Chinese people that Teacher arranged for us.

None of us have had any sort of vocal training, and our voices were still quite raw. Yet Teacher said, "A being's level is determined by his xinxing." ("What are Supernormal Abilities") We found that the deeper our understanding of the song and our mission, the purer we made our hearts, the better we sang. I found that if I wasn't attached so much to the sound of my own voice and focused mainly on harmonizing my voice with the other singers and having a pure heart, everyone stayed in harmony with each other and we sounded quite nice.

The party's plan originally called for each table to send someone onstage to sing. We had planned to represent our table. However, when we arrived at the event, we found that the format had been changed, and that there would be professional entertainers. We were no longer on the program list. A Chinese practitioner spoke to the dinner party host, and explained to us that we still would be able to sing.

After a while, we began to develop the attachment of complacency, and joked around and paid little attention to keeping righteous hearts. At one point, however, a fellow practitioner expressed that they had added many extra acts, and that we may not have time to sing. We realized immediately that this was evil interference and said, "No, we will sing." We should seize any opportunity to clarify the truth. If we don't clarify the truth at this event, the precious Chinese people who attended this event may lose an opportunity to learn the truth.

For the next hour or so, we determinedly sent forth righteous thoughts. Although it looked as if there wouldn't be enough time for us to sing, suddenly the host introduced us, and we four Westerners, along with a fellow Chinese practitioner, went up on stage. I used my limited Chinese to introduce the song, and explained as well as I could why we four Westerners had gone to Tiananmen. I explained that we truly love China and its rich culture. Then we sang. It sounded very beautiful and harmonious, so much so that one of the Chinese practitioners sitting at our table was moved to tears. Even official representatives of the Taiwan government sitting at the front table gave us thumbs up, and we received many congratulations from the audience.

The understanding I gained from this experience is that we have to be on our guard at all times, for the evil will try to block us from clarifying the truth. We also have to have righteous faith in Teacher and Dafa. I also truly felt that we are particles of Dafa, and that the Fa will provide us with everything we need in order to clarify the truth and save sentient beings as long as we melt into the Fa and immerse ourselves into the Fa-rectification.
