Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp in Beijing Attempts to Brainwash Practitioners

For those Falun Gong practitioners who were just transferred in from the dispatch department, the labor camp officers would first listen and observe, then investigate the practitioners' performances outside of detention, noting whether or not they were steadfast during their stay in the dispatch department. The authorities also try to find out about practitioners' relatives, whether or not they have any financial or other difficulties at home, what educational degrees they have earned, how long they have been cultivating, whether or not they know any other Falun Gong practitioners, and more. Then they arranged for "teaching assistants" to do the brainwashing. For those practitioners who showed fear or hesitation, they generally adopted high-pressure tactics, threats and scare tactics, and also misled them with lies. For those practitioners who had not studied the Fa well, the "teaching assistants" would talk about the so-called philosophy of "the art of being a person," and put up a strong defense in favor of the dictator, using the Party's atheistic logic to fill the practitioners' brains.

If a Falun Gong practitioner had a good foundation and comprehension of the Fa, the police officers would constantly rotate the "teaching assistant" personnel, looking for any omission from the conversation. They would laugh at you when you introduced Dafa from a positive angle and exaggerate the place of your omission, attack your persona with insults and try to damage your integrity. The purpose was to make you feel inferior and have a psychological barrier toward Fa-rectification and clarifying the truth, so as to weaken your righteous thoughts.

If these tactics did not work, the police officers would bring in people who were considered "not completely transformed." Although they have compromised, these people still think Dafa is good, and they would probably still practice Dafa once they were released. Regarding transformation, though, they have a lot of excuses, disputing and making up many pretexts to fool themselves and others, such as "to protect disciples from being further persecuted," "to correct evil enlightenment," or to "create an environment of secretly studying the Fa," and others. These people have seriously damaged the Fa. Since some practitioners would easily approve of their words, they confused many practitioners who did not have a solid foundation in Fa-study. For those practitioners who have this kind of attachment, after they were transformed, the "reserve team's" duty would be over. Then the guards would switch to a group of "teaching assistants" to specifically "reinforce" this achievement. In general, at the beginning those confused people had some measure of righteous thoughts; they clearly indicated to the officers and the "teaching assistants" that Master's teachings are not wrong. In order to reach the so-called "transformation rate" and get a bonus - it is said that transforming one practitioner would bring an individual 1,000 Yuan - the officers sometimes compromised a little. They would not force people to write those slandering words in the "three statements," [Practitioners are coerced under brainwashing and torture to write these as proof that they have given up their belief. Created by the "610 Office," the three statements consist of a letter of repentance, a guarantee to never again practice Falun Gong, and a list of names and addresses of all family members, friends and acquaintances who are practitioners] but if they do not like what you write, they will often "lose" the document so you have to write another one. After this would be the constant study, writing down one's understanding, exposing, criticizing, and listening to indoctrination from people who have given up Falun Gong practice and who were in charge of the consolidation.

If none of the above methods work, the enforcing officers will show their true colors.

"The evil has exhausted its tricks, and the Dafa disciples have matured through the tempering. We're not afraid of any other tricks it might use." ("Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A.") Although evilness still covers the Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp, more and more Dafa practitioners are awakening. Also, the "reserve team," and even the "key assistants" are beginning to awaken.

What is related above is merely a small portion of the many kinds of persecution being used against Falun Gong practitioners in the Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp. I hope this information is helpful to practitioners when sending forth our righteous thoughts, making the evil lose the material base of existence in this dimension.
