California: Hong Kong's Violent Treatment of Taiwan Practitioners Condemned (Photos)
By Falun Dafa practitioners in San Diego, California, USA
(Clearwisdom.net) Many Falun Dafa practitioners from Taiwan went to Hong
Kong several days ago to attend a Falun Dafa experience sharing conference, but
80 of them were denied entry into Hong Kong. Hong Kong customs officers used
violence, even forcefully bundling some practitioners up in anti-riot blankets,
and carrying them onto aircraft bound for Taiwan. Some of the women sustained
many bruises on their bodies. In order to express support for the deported
practitioners and to publicly condemn the Hong Kong government's violent deeds,
Falun Gong practitioners in San Diego, California held a group practice and
sent forth righteous thoughts last weekend.
Falun Gong practitioners believe in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance."
Practicing Falun Gong makes us understand how to become better people, and
healthier both physically and mentally. It is beneficial to all countries and
nationalities. However, at present, regardless of the fact that Falun Gong
flourishes in over 50 countries around the world, improving practitioners'
physical and mental well being and bringing stability and harmony to society,
the Hong Kong government deprived the practitioners of the basic freedom of
assembly. Doesn't this blatantly violate Hong Kong's promise to the world, "One
country, two systems?"
The practitioners expressed their sincere appeal: So that all in the world
may enjoy a bright future, we hope all kind-hearted people will show concern
over the unfair treatment Falun Gong practitioners are suffering.
The practitioners also called for the Hong Kong government to reconsider,
and not to yield to China's autocratic rule and ruin the human rights and
freedom of Hong Kong.
