Police in the Jiamusi Forced Labor Camp Beat Falun Dafa Practitioner Zhang Changming to Death

(Clearwisdom.net) 50-year-old Mr. Zhang Changming was a resident of Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province. In early March 2003, Yang Chunming, political instructor, and Yang Wenbin, a policeman in the intensive training brigade of the Jiamusi Forced Labor Camp in Heilongjiang Province relentlessly tortured Dafa practitioner Zhang Changming. In the end, they beat Zhang to the point of unconsciousness. As the result of the brutal torture, his head was swollen and misshapen. They had to send Zhang to a hospital for emergency treatment, but the hospital refused to treat him when doctors saw that he was on the verge of death. To avoid having to take responsibility, the vicious police hurriedly brought Zhang back to his home, where he died as soon as he was brought inside. Zhang became the ninth Falun Gong practitioner tortured to death in the Jiamusi Forced Labor Camp. The other eight practitioners who were tortured to death were Tang Hong, Fang Cuifang, Jia Yongfa, Wu Lingxia, Zhao Fulan, Wang Shujun, Bi Jiaxin, as well as an elderly man whose identity remains unknown.

The Jiamusi Forced Labor Camp is also known as the Jiamusi Mugexi Labor Camp. Since the labor camp started to detain Falun Gong practitioners, Jiang's group has allocated a large amount of funds to it. The salaries of the guards have also been raised significantly. In particular, if someone can force a Falun Gong practitioner to 'give up practicing Falun Gong', he or she would be awarded with an additional monetary bonus.

A most ironic event happened one day in November of 2000. That day, the labor camp held a meeting to celebrate the "victory of brainwashing" and awarded several guards 10,000 to 20,000 Yuan bonuses for their efforts in persecuting Dafa practitioners. At the very time when the labor camp was celebrating the "victory", eleven male Dafa practitioners successfully escaped from the horrific place. Because of that incident, the head of the labor camp was later removed from his position. However, the newly appointed head was even more active in persecuting Falun Gong. Recently, he has completely lost his senses. In order to fulfill the so-called "brainwashing quota", he directed police to apply cruel torture instruments to torment all steadfast Falun Gong practitioners, and has committed countless crimes against Dafa.

We hereby call upon all just and kind-hearted people in the world to support the Falun Gong practitioners detained in the Jiamusi Forced Labor Camp. We also ask fellow Dafa practitioners to help to send forth righteous thoughts to support the jailed fellow practitioners, and to totally destroy the persecution by Jiang's group.
