Seeing with Our Original Nature

When we first obtained the Fa [law and principles], Teacher provided each of us with a Falun.

"The Falun is the manifestation of the nature of the Fa of all matter in the universe, from the macroscopic level to the microscopic level."

("Rectification of One's Character," Essentials for Further Advancement.)

In the future, we will cultivate Falun on our own. This is a manifestation of the nature of the Fa of all matter, since we are assimilating to the Fa, which is to say that our original nature will completely assimilate to the Great Law of the universe--Zhen-Shan-Ren. This will ensure that our futures will be most solid. At higher levels, the principles become simpler. I have discovered that all of the things that I have enlightened to in Dafa cultivation such as fundamentally negating the old forces, following Teacher's requirements in letting go of all mentalities, steadfastly cultivating Dafa without distraction, assisting Teacher to rectify the Fa, and saving sentient beings are in fact all interrelated. That is enlightening to the Fa with our true nature.

Long before history, we vowed to Teacher that we were:

"Making a wish to save sentient beings, Assisting Teacher in his journey in this world"

("Assisting the Fa", Hongyin).

Then step-by-step we descended into the Firmament. We lost all knowledge of our previous lives at each downward step that we took. As such, we formed all kinds of relationships with beings that we encountered at each level of the old universe. Not only that, but some of us signed pacts with the Old Forces to follow their arrangements in the Fa-rectification period. Nevertheless, even though at various levels we agreed to "sacrifice our lives" for Dafa in the human world, our intentions at those levels are not our truest intentions, nor are they the original vows we made to Teacher. Teacher uses all divine forces to help us recall our original intentions instead of the intentions that we made at the lower levels.

Teacher says that a god will keep going on a path when he recognizes it. I understand that a god's thinking comes from his original nature, which is free of interference from any other level. Every one of us knows that assisting Teacher to rectify the Fa and save sentient beings is our mission, but often our thoughts are interfered with by the Old Forces at the various levels. It is like a person going to a see a film. You would expect him to go straight to the theater. If he goes shopping or gets distracted in other ways, the film would be over by the time that he makes it to the theater.

"Foolishly absorbed in what unfolds in the play, the grotesque scenes seem beautiful."

No matter how beautiful the play is, we should not forget our most original purpose. In Fa-rectification, all of the intentions that we made at different levels are not our ultimate intention. What counts is what we ourselves do at critical moments. If some disciples had not been tortured to death by the evil forces, they could have gone on to do more important things to validate Dafa and to save sentient beings.

All our righteous thoughts and actions should come from our original nature.

"I am not asking you to intentionally do something. I am only trying to make you understand the principles of the Fa so that you will have a clear understanding of this. In fact, Dafa is not only to save human beings--it is also taught to all beings in the various dimensions. Your enlightened, original nature will automatically know what to do."

With our enlightened original nature and our diligence, when we understand these principles of the Fa, we will definitely be able to fulfill our original vows to save all predestined sentient beings.
