Dafa Practitioners Meet with Swedish Foreign Ministry and Urge Swedish Government to Condemn Criminal Acts of Jiang's Regime

[Clearwisdom.net] Before the 59th UN Conference on Human Rights began in Geneva on March 10, the Swedish Falun Dafa Association visited the officials of the Swedish Foreign Ministry to talk about the human rights situation in China. The meeting lasted about one hour.

The Association told the Foreign Ministry how China is irrationally persecuting and killing Falun Gong practitioners, even kidnapping overseas Chinese who have foreign passports whilst they return to China to visit their relatives. They also talked about the Hong Kong anti-subversion law and the lawsuit Falun Gong practitioners have filed against Jiang Zemin and his accomplices.

The Falun Dafa Association urged the Swedish government to protest strongly against the criminal behavior of Jiang's regime. Sweden is a nation known worldwide for freedom of speech, justice, and kindness. Practitioners submitted a petition signed by 8,000 people, calling for the Swedish government, the European Union and the U.N. to take initiatives to stop the persecution of Falun Gong.

The officials of the Foreign Ministry told practitioners that as well as publicly denouncing the suppression of Falun Gong, Sweden has made major efforts to help improve human rights by way of bilateral exchange conferences. But they were also aware that such exchanges did not go far enough.

The persecution of Falun Gong in China is not a normal human rights problem, but was ordered directly from the highest level of the government.

Taking Hong Kong as an example, the level of human rights in Hong Kong was good over the past few decades, but the latest legislation of anti-subversion law which was ordered directly from Jiang's regime is the most serious sabotage of human rights and freedom of belief.

While extending our appreciation to the Swedish government and their foreign ministry for their past support of Falun Gong, we also introduced the latest news of how the Jiang regime brutally persecutes Falun Gong practitioners.

Some practitioners visited all the foreign embassies stationed in Sweden, and introduced the brutal tactics of the Jiang regime's persecution of Falun Gong. Practitioners also exposed the lies contained in the fabricated documents that the Chinese government gave directly to these countries; many kind people expressed their support for stopping this persecution immediately.

We called on the Swedish government and their Foreign Minister to launch a discussion and pass a resolution condemning the abuse of human rights and the persecution of Falun Gong in China.
