Eyewitness Account of the Brutal Persecution of Dafa Practitioners at a Detention Center in Changchun City, Jilin Province

It happened some days between March 13, 2002 and April 13, 2002. I witnessed with my own eyes how the police in the detention center brutally persecuted Dafa practitioners.

The first practitioner I met is Lu Daxin, 35 or 36 years old. At that time, she had been tortured so severely that she wasn't able to take care of herself. It was fellow practitioners that helped her comb her hair and wash her face. When she lay down, she could not turn over. The torture she suffered included: Her head was covered with a plastic bag and tightened by police until she was on the verge of suffocating. Her hands and feet were cuffed together and she was then hung up in the air. The police used an electric baton to beat and shock her neck. Her neck was made to swell terribly by electricity. Her entire buttocks were hit by the police and turned black. Her feet and hands and other places were black and blue. It was too horrible to look at. There are over ten practitioners who have also suffered similar torture in the cell we were in at that time. They are Guo Yuanshuai, Li Liping, Wang Shufang, Cui Yan and so on.

I remember it was after 3 p.m. on March 23 when the police came to our cell to take a practitioner away for interrogation (In fact, there is interrogation every day, regardless of whether it is day and night.)

This time the police took away a practitioner over 50 years old, whose name is Wang Yuhuan. A group of police put handcuffs on her and brought her away. It was after 3 a.m. when she came back. As a matter of fact, the police dragged her back, as she could not walk due to the torture. The wicked police opened the door of our cell and threw her into the cell. Then they left. It was practitioners who carried her to the bed and heard her tell the details of her persecution. The police brought her to the mountain of Riyuetan, Changchun. Over ten evil police tied her up tightly to a big tree. Then they covered her head with a plastic bag tightly, which did not allow air in. They used electric batons to fiercely hit her neck, armpit and front chest and other places. In addition, this kind of electric baton is very unique, because it has high voltage and causes internal damage. At that time, she fainted. After she awakened, police electrified her again. Thus, she fainted again. She did not remember the number of times when she passed out. At last, the police thought she might not pull through, only then was she sent back to the cell.

There are many more practitioners who have been persecuted like this. Some of them are even tortured until disabled or dead. There are really too many of these situations to mention. We ask: Where are Chinese people's human rights?
