Northern California: Friends of Charles Li Protest Jiang Regime's Show Trial of US Citizen (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) Jiang's regime held a show trial of US citizen and Falun Gong practitioner Charles Li on March 21, 2003. At the same time, on the west coast of the US more than 100 of Charles Li's friends and Falun Gong practitioners gathered in front of the Chinese Consulate in San Francisco and held a large-scale demonstration to protest Jiang regime's show trial, which was conducted without any evidence.

In the evening, members of Friends of Charles Li held banners or posters with a large photo of Charles Li, distributed literature, and collected signatures. Passers-by were indignant after learning of the Jiang regime's atrocities. When they were asked how they viewed Charles' arrest, some passers-by said, "Many events occur worldwide every day. Whatever happens, an illegal trial of a US citizen is a serious matter and cannot be accepted."

Some passers-by told us to write to US Representatives and said that they should help to rescue this US citizen. Some said that they knew Jiang was an evil man.

The protest lasted from the afternoon to 8 p.m.
