One day in December of 2002, at around 2pm, a person fell from a tree south of the Bayi Hotel. The man lay unconscious on the ground as many people gathered around him to see what had happened. People helped a nearby policeman to carry that person to his police car. As the police car drove away, onlookers did not even know whether or not that person was alive. Eyewitnesses indicated that the person who fell down from the tree was also a policeman. They said he saw a banner stating, "Falun Dafa is Good" on the tree. He climbed up the tree in an attempt to remove the banner, but the tree branch broke beneath him and he fell down. Some people said, "He was so set on pulling down that banner, look how badly he hurt himself."

Yang Xiaobo, the principal of Huayang High School in Yanghu County, Liaocheng City, Shandong Province, was deeply deceived by the state media's false propaganda. He conspired with the County Public Security Bureau to persecute a Dafa practitioner in his school. He tried to force the practitioner to quit practicing, and he helped the police to secretly kidnap the practitioner. This practitioner was illegally sentenced to "re-education through forced labor" and sent to a brainwashing center. He lost his job and realized that to avoid further persecution he could not return home. Later, Yang Xiaobo was fined tens of thousands of Yuan by the local police department. [500 Yuan is the average monthly income for an urban worker in China.]

Policeman Yang Zhou of the Hengren County Detention Center in Benxi City, Liaoning Province was extremely vicious toward Dafa practitioners. He threatened practitioners to write the so-called "Guarantee Statement" [A statement to declare that he or she is remorseful for practicing Falun Gong and guarantees not to practice Falun Gong again, not to go to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, and to never again associate with any Falun Dafa practitioners.]. Recently he was punished for assisting criminals to send messages to each other and forced to leave his post as "early retirement."

A policeman of Hengren County Detention Center hated Dafa and cursed Teacher. He recently told someone, "I am doomed. I have diseases all over my body, even protrusion of the lumbar intervertebral discs, not to mention liver disease and diabetes." That acquaintance said, "Well, if you had not cursed Dafa, you would not have so many diseases."

One day in 2002, a practitioner was caught distributing Dafa materials. The police bullied the Dafa practitioner and forcefully kicked the practitioner. The practitioner told him, "You will receive karmic retribution for doing this." Shortly after, the policeman broke his ankle.
