In order to resist the brainwashing persecution, some practitioners have been a hunger strike without water since March 13, 2003. We hope all practitioners around the world will send forth righteous thoughts for them.

After being detained once and then released, Xu Zhibin was illegally arrested again in October 2002. He was secretly sentenced to 14 years and his family was never informed of this.

On March 3, the Jinzhou District Court held an illegal trial for practitioners Miao Junjie and Sun Lijuan and sentenced them to 9 and 4 years respectively.

Practitioners Zhang Dan, Lu Guijun, Zhao Yazhen, and Su Qi rented a house to make Dafa materials. Around October 2002, the landlord reported them to the police and they were arrested. The police did not allow them to sleep for seven days and nights and forced them to reveal the source of the equipment and contact people. In the middle of January 2003, the police sentenced them to 4, 3, 2, and 1 years respectively.

On the afternoon of February 21, 2003, two female and one male plainclothes officers suddenly covered practitioner Cang Fengying's eyes on a train and took her to a secret place in Harbin City, where they brutally tortured her and other three practitioners. A female practitioner from Dehui in her 20s became paralyzed from the beatings. Another female practitioner from Lalin became disabled from the electric shocks. After beating a male practitioner, they stripped him and threw him into the female cell. The above crimes were committed by the police from the State Security Section of Harbin City.

On February 27, 2003, they illegally sent Cang Fengying to Wanjia Forced Labor Camp for three years.

On March 18, 2003, the police from Zhenjiao Police Station arrested practitioner Wu Liguo from Juliuhe. They also took Wu's wife Ji Xiaolin, who does not practice Falun Gong, and their three-year-old daughter.

On December 11, 2002, the police arrested Cao and Wang at Wang's rented house and confiscated 2000-3000 Yuan [Chinese currency, the monthly salary for an average Chinese urban worker is about 500 Yuan] in cash. For 33 days, the practitioners were detained at Xiangfan City Second Detention Center, where they went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. The police from the detention center and the "610 Office" in Gaoxin Police Branch force-fed them and despite their poor health, sent them to Denglin Forced Labor Camp in Yicheng for three years. ["610 Office" is a bureau specifically created by the Chinese government to persecute Falun Gong. It has absolute power over each level of administration in the Party, as well as over the political and judiciary branches.] The police did not inform their families and strictly blocked the information.

Huang Xia worked at Liuyin Hospital at Beibei District. The hospital sent her to a mental institution from January to July in 2002, where she was injected with some unknown substance and became mentally unstable. She was illegally held at a detention center for 27 days from February 27 to March 16, 2003, and her whereabouts are now unknown.

Liu Hanxue worked at the Fire Station of Daqing City. On February 17, 2003, they sent him to the Daqing Brainwashing Center. He has been keeping a righteous mind and acting righteously, which made the evil afraid. On March 18, he appeared to have the symptoms of a herniated disc. They took him to the hospital and the doctor suggested admission. However, the personnel from the brainwashing center refused to let him be admitted. Instead, they took him back to the brainwashing center and locked him in a single cell. Upon hearing of his situation, his family worked hard for his release. His work unit finally agreed to have him admitted to the hospital for treatment. However, the personnel in the brainwashing center secretly transferred him to Rangqu Detention Center.

Wang Ying, a 41-year-old woman from Daqing City, has been actively participating in the Fa-rectification since September 1999. In early 2001, she left home in order to avoid persecution. At the end of November 2002, she came to Shenyang and was discovered there by the police. In order to avoid arrest, she jumped from a building and broke her hip. The police arrested her. Recently, we heard that she was illegally sentenced to three years of forced labor. We do not know her whereabouts.

The police from Shuangcheng Police Department recently arrested practitioners who made solemn declarations. These practitioners include Peng Qi and Zhu Xiulan.

Female practitioner Wu Zhaolan was arrested for distributing Dafa materials in the neighboring villages. The police and local authorities brutally beat her in public.

Lin Shihua and his wife Lu left home to avoid persecution. Recently, the police arrested them and confiscated their property, including a cell phone and a motorcycle. Lin escaped later, but Lu is still under detention.

Wang Yan and Wang Jing are sisters and college students. During their vacation, they went to Zhengzhou, looking for their parents who had previously left home to avoid persecution. On February 4, 2003, the police from the Linchang Police Station at the east development area in Zhengzhou arrested them for distributing Dafa materials and sent them to Heizhuang Detention Center. Since then they have been on a hunger strike to protest the persecution.

On March 5, 2003, two Dafa banners appeared at the Hubei Province Police Bureau. On the same day, the police illegally arrested two elderly female practitioners, including Zhu Dafeng, a retired teacher.

In May 2002, the police arrested Jiang Ming, a 37-year-old woman, and four other practitioners on the street. The forced labor camp refused to accept her because of her poor health, but the police are still holding her at the detention center and refuse to release her.

On February 15, 2003, the police illegally arrested Tong for explaining the facts about Falun Gong and held her at Longshan Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang. We heard that she was sentenced to two years.

Following a lead provided by someone in Wen County, the police arrested Cao and her sister from their home at the residential apartments of Zhengzhou First Hospital. The work unit of Cao's husband also started to persecute him by forcing him to do the heaviest labor. Cao left a baby girl at home. Currently Cao and her sister are being detained at Jiaozuo Prison.

The police from Dongdajie Police Station arrested Zhou Jianfeng for explaining the facts about Falun Gong on the street and held him at Hanghai Lu Detention Center. This center is also holding practitioner Zheng Xinlan. We recently heard that they were going to send 12 practitioners, including Zhou Jianfeng, to a forced labor camp.

Clearwisdom reported that the Pengzhou Detention Center held a child who is only 1 or 2 years old. We have learned that the child's parents and grandmother (father's side) are still being held at the detention center. His grandmother on her mother's side has picked up the child. They detained the child most of the time at the government offices of Mengyang.

Zheng Guilan is the Party Secretary of Heping Street No. 9 Residential Committee in Wanghua District. Since July 1999, she repeatedly led the police to harass and arrest Falun Dafa practitioners in their homes. She also assigned people to monitor the practitioners and helped send practitioners to Wujiabao Forced Labor Camp.
